Why ABG is big in my life?

I remember my childhood days in Ghaziabad, U.P. The city didn't have good infrastructure back then, so companies were hesitant to open stores in this neighbourhood. So the vicious cycle continued for some time. Then came "more store" which changed the dynamics of our neighbourhood.

The store was not very big, but it always remained crowded. It had specific schemes on some products and, my favourite day became Wednesday, because of heavy discounts.

ABG has impacted many lives from its telecom services to its cement, to luxury and affordable clothing. Vodafone Idea Ltd is the largest telecom company in India, providing inexpensive data to millions of needful students who need the internet for studies.

Adjacent to my hometown the sprawling cities like Noida, Gr. Noida and Gurgaon have come up. This would not have been possible without UltraTech cement, the largest cement brand in India.

It's Fashion & Retail segment which houses 17 brands from Louis Philippe, a luxury brand, which is intricately bought for relative's wedding, to Pantaloons, an affordable brand, which I can wear carefree during my study hours at IIFT.

ABG through its core values of Integrity, Commitment, Passion, Seamlessness and Speed has transpired individuals and businesses alike to take the right step and fulfil it to perfection.

ABG has also touched people's life socially, by opening various hospitals, charities, education institutes like BITS Pilani etc. This venture which had humble beginnings from Pilani, Rajasthan has truly left an indelible mark in the hearts of people, worldwide.

Forrest Gump said "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you'll get". My life has also followed a similar path.

I was not very good at studies till twelfth class, in fact, I scored an all-time low of sixty per cent in the eleventh standard and had barely passed some subjects. I had a casual attitude back then. I had to change, I said to myself. I pulled my socks for the board exams. I studied hard, learned from my mistakes and scored ninety-five per cent in PCM and ninety-two overall. This made me change from a casual, nonchalant person to a dedicated and hardworking person aspiring for growth. This made me raise the bar of excellence for myself. I have been continuously improving from that day onwards.

These improvements were not enough for me to land in my dream engineering college, and I ended up in a decent college. I had raised my bar of excellence, so I had to do something to satiate my hunger.

I tried Network Marketing (Direct Selling) through a company, but that company could not support itself and its upper management collapsed due to some differences. I had learnt the basics of business in that one year, but no one could teach me the art of networking and building a network of like-minded individuals. So I decided to prepare for MBA exams because the colleges are a temple of practical knowledge.

So I overcame the failure of Network Marketing by joining one of the best colleges in India "IIFT", and I hope it will be a fruitful experience.
