The Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune Campus, located amidst nature on a ‘Hill-Top’ (popularly called by its student/residents), is a beautiful campus away from the city noise and is sufficient in its own way in all its facilities. The “Lavale” campus finds a very dear spot in every student’s heart and is truly a home far away from home.
In a country like India, where spaces in cities are difficult to find and infrastructure fails to serve the teeming student population, our campus boasts of spacious classrooms with a view to be soaked in while taking a break from the routine, recreation facilities that provide all-around development to a student life and the open-end architecture that manifests the mission of the Symbiosis Family; 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam': the world is one family.
As for me personally, the most unique part of the Campus is that the exact mission of togetherness stated above comes out so beautifully, both in the common objective of students belonging to the different colleges and the vibrant student driven culture. The Hill-top campus at Lavale is home to students of five different colleges namely SIBM, SIMC, SSBF, SSP and SITM, yet we all feel part of a one big huge family, together sharing our differences in disciplines in classrooms and together enjoying breath-taking, resort-like views outside classrooms over a cup of tea.
Which ABG company would I want to work for and why?
I would like to work for “Aditya Birla Finance Limited” as it would provide me with the ideal training ground and functional knowledge exposure of the various businesses (namely Corporate Finance, Capital Market, Real Estate & Mortgages and Infrastructure Project & Structured Finance) it operates in. Its industry wide presence and operations will not only serve as a rich source of working knowhow for an MBA candidate like me, but will also complement the theoretical frameworks, I have learnt in my Finance specialisation classes, with the current industry practices, indispensable for a complete understanding of the Financial sector in India.
