Sat atop the Lavale (read lovely) hills, SIBM Pune is a hotbed of biodiversity. From reptiles, birds, insects and bees along with various types of evergreen trees makes this campus truly unique. The semester starts here in the month of June and coincides with the arrival of monsoon in this part of the country. Not many people have the fortune to study in a business school engulfed in the midst of clouds and mist and interspersed by the calls of peacocks and owls. The occasional sightings of the snakes and the bull frogs do scare the students but the cool breeze and lush green cover soothes the senses and instills a sense of calm among students.
The morning starts with a dose of patriotism in the form of “Vande Mataram”, instilling in us zeal to conquer the day ahead. The campus is entirely managed by students and student council members, from the mess committee to the culture and sports club everything is student run and managed.
This scenic beauty and the sense of oneness among students to run the college activities smoothly make the SIBM Pune campus unique.
Which ABG Company do you want to work for and why ?
I want to work for Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail. The business to consumer retails space is fast paced and dynamic in nature and would give me ample scope to apply the concepts that I learn in marketing. AB Fashion and Retail has a good portfolio of brands which can propel the company to be the market leader in the years to come. The presence of stores like Pantaloons and Planet Fashion would also give me an opportunity to understand the demographic and psycho-graphic profile of customers visiting them and position the In-house brands of Aditya Birla Group in a better manner.
