If you ask me what love looks like, I will tell you about the cloud that sits above the hostel terrace, patiently waiting to pour down. I will tell you about the trees that shade all creatures alike, firmly standing along the road to college. I will tell you about the wind that soothes the soul and the whispers of the dawn birds, testifying the beauty of nature.
If you ask me what love looks like, I will tell you about my campus. Located on the outskirts of Pune, my campus stands on a hill top and hosts hundreds of students, is a home to diverse creatures like, peacock, snail, frog, snakes etc. and habitats beautiful species of plants. It witnesses the daily struggles of student life; running late to college, group discussions, late night assignments, committee meets, long hours at the canteen, rainbow of emotions, stress and a lot more.
Somehow the forces of nature syncs in with these various stages of life. The uniqueness of my campus lies in discovering the hidden messages enveloped in the arms of nature. The morning light that fills the hostel room, acts as a natural alarm clock and teaches us to shine as bright as the sun and fill everyone’s lives with positive radiance.
The walk to the college gives us time to ponder and makes us aware about the million other beings we share our planet with. The mountains all around inspire us to be like a rock and face everything with a brave heart. The rain reminds us that even the highest cloud in the sky, falls down to the ground and it falls gracefully, accepting the course of nature. Within due time it rises up to the sky again. The vast sky appears nearer and the difficult seems attainable.
My campus is unique because the forces of universe has blessed this land with natural gifts that speaks to each one of us and keep us motivated. The availability of free cycles enables us to fly along with the wind and embrace fresh air in its truest form. Furthermore, spending time with Dollar and Pound, two dogs adopted by the institute, makes the day fun and enjoyable.
Another highlight of our campus is MNC; The Midnight Canteen. This opens post 10 PM and is a treat to the taste buds and an energy boost for exam preparation. It also accommodates live music, dancing and relaxing sessions. Our campus is filled with varied colleges. Owing to that, we get the opportunity to interact with people from different institutes like sports sciences, media communication, technology management, photography etc. The exchange of thoughts and ideas over a cup of tea becomes very insightful and gives us a broad perspective of what lies beyond our area of study. Additionally, it makes us realize how our campus gets people from diverse backgrounds together and truly incorporate the concept of “Vasudeva Kutumbakam” (whole world is a family).
24 hours’ library, mental health counsellors, access to all major sports and recreation facilities are few other add- on to the amazing life at the hilltop. Sunsets that colors the sky in different shades of tranquility and unlimited support of friends that equate family,
This campus captures all these happy moments and reflects back the same.
Which ABG company would you like to work for and why?
I would want to work for Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited.
Fashion has redefined the way we look at and choose our clothes. It is not restricted to the idea of merely covering our bodies. It has extended to the sense of identity and social status. Moreover, the fashion industry is always shifting and evolving. This fast paced nature motivates me to be on my toes and grab every opportunity to achieve the first mover advantage.
In addition to that, the area of retail attracts me as it enables working with the final consumer base closely, and thus, understanding the diverse market in a linear way.
