Symbiosis means a mutually beneficial relationship between different people or groups and Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, gives complete justice to this. Firstly, I believe, this campus provides a great platform for students to gain an all-round learning experience to interact with all sorts of people. People, not just from a different cultural and educational background but from various countries as well. The best part about it is that, factors such as age, gender and/or work experience do not act as hindrances in an open and healthy communication among peers, inside as well as outside the classrooms. Secondly, the entire working of the college is student-driven. Right from admissions to placements, every activity is handled by students only. This gives students a platform to apply theoretical knowledge in real life scenarios. Everybody has something new to look forward to every single day. Also, let’s not forget to talk about the beautiful location where this campus is located. Besides being one of the premier B-Schools in India, the USP of SIBM, Pune is its hill top location. You never are truly bored here. Even a mundane Monday morning becomes extraordinary, when you see a peacock dancing right outside your classroom! Having said all this, I feel, SIBM, Pune is a complete package and it is my privilege to experience all of this first hand. One month into this journey has transitioned my life, taught me to continuously upgrade and improve my skillset and made me believe in myself a little more everyday. I look forward to my upcoming journey eagerly!
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
I would like to work in the renewable business sector of Aditya Birla Group.
No matter how carefully we use coal, natural gas and petroleum, we are bound to run out of it. Solar energy is renewable, unlimited and readily available for usage. Also, with the shooting prices of oil every day, solar energy is our best savior. News reports indicate that ABG is planning to invest in, and expand its renewable energy business. Being a Mechanical Engineering, now pursuing an MBA degree in Human Resources, I feel I will be a good fit in this company as I will easily be able to understand the niche technicalities of the job and the kind of talent that is required for the job, keeping in mind the expansion point of view.
