In 2017, I was diagnosed with dengue. I was preparing for an entrance test which was to be held soon. The illness sent my preparation for a toss. I was hospitalized for a week. After getting discharged, it took me a week to get used to the daily routine. With hardly any time left for the test, I struggled to study despite trying my best. In the end, I was not able to clear the test with the required percentile.
This phase was a great learning curve for me. The one major lesson that I learned was:
No matter how much one strives or works towards a goal, sometimes things outside one’s control can influence the consequences. One needs to accept this fact and just keep persevering until the goal is achieved.
Persevere I did and worked hard for one more year to prepare for the entrance test and aced it to get through to IIFT Delhi, one of the top B-schools in India. I balanced my office responsibilities along with my test preparation to overcome the challenge of time management and ultimately achieved my goal.
This instilled in me the belief that no matter how challenging the circumstances might seem if one has the will to keep going then success is just around the corner.
How ABG Has Impacted My Life
As a child whenever I used to see my father getting ready for office, I always admired the prim and proper formals that he wore. I used to believe that Allen Solly, Peter England, Van Heusen, and Louis Phillipe were foreign brands.

Be it my first ever job interview or all the campus interviews, later on, these brands have been a constant for me.
Call it a habit now or maybe a routine but whenever I shop for these brands, I feel a sense of contentment. Wearing these brands gives me confidence about the way I look and I feel complete. Hence in this way the Aditya Birla Group has a massive presence in my life.
