Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune is Constituent of SYMBIOSIS INTERNATIONAL (DEEMED UNIVERSITY) - SIU. It was established in 1978, consistently ranked among the top 10 B Schools of the country. Campus:
Perched on the magnificent hills of Lavale, Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune (SIBM) is an abode of scholarly pursuits with the institute’s glory is the splendor and beauty of the nature that surrounds it. SIBM Pune provides state-of-the-art infrastructure to its students. These facilities go a long way in ensuring a productive campus life and providing a perfect backdrop for academic pursuits. The sprawling premises houses the SIU office and various trust offices, central library, auditorium, conference hall, canteen, health care center, area for recreational activities, shopping area, guest house, swimming pool as well as teaching & non-teaching staff housing. Classrooms still remain the cornerstone for learning and development by explaining concepts via presentations, videos and live exercises. The in-house facilities include a 600-seater auditorium and a Convention Centre both equipped with the latest audio-visual technology. An all-day cafeteria caters to the diverse taste buds on campus.
The students of SIBM Pune have access to the Central Library of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) which has a splendid reference and lending facilities for books, reports, journals, periodicals, CDs and video cassettes. It also has Bloomberg Lab and the Marketing & Behavioural Lab. A fully Wi-Fi enabled campus allows students to excel in today’s information age by advanced pedagogy like live lectures, experiential learning, video streaming, and online project. The campus has a fully air-conditioned computer lab with more than 120 computers equipped with advanced software applications and high-speed intranet leased line connectivity.
The 3 hostel blocks (New, Old & Annex), located within the established campus are in close proximity to the Dining Hall and the Academic Block. Every hostel room invariably has study provision and adequate storage with access-points linking to the campus-wide network resources and services. The Symbiosis Centre for Health Care (SCHC) is an in-house Health Care Centre exclusive to the staff and students with HC has a team of specialist doctors who conduct the students' annual health checkup. It also provides an in-house health club and fitness center, for the holistic development of mind and body. It has amenities for the gym, aerobics, yoga, Zumba, and bicycling.

The premier B-school offers a plethora of knowledge and enlightenment through the brilliant faculty with vast experience in their respective fields, educational hubs with inexhaustible information and challenging corporate events/competitions. Selection Criteria
- Candidate should be a graduate from any recognised University / Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for SC / ST) at graduation level.
- Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in the qualifying examination.

Courses Offered
1. MBA
The two-year full-time residential MBA is SIBM Pune's flagship programme, spread across four semesters and offering specialisations in Marketing, Human Resource Management, Finance and Operations Management. The structure of the programme is designed to give students the best in industry exposure and a nurturing classroom environment, to help them become the leaders of tomorrow, in the specialisation of their choice.
2. MBA (innovation & Entrepreneurship)
Government has declared 2010-20 as 'India's Decade of Innovation' and the industry is increasingly expecting its employees to have an entrepreneurial mindset. In addition, there is also an increase in the number of management graduates eventually taking the entrepreneurial plunge. It is becoming increasingly clear that managers who can conceive and execute innovative projects that add to the organisations' top and bottom lines will only be put in the leadership pipeline.
Since there are no institutes in India providing an MBA programme combining innovation and entrepreneurship/intrapreneurship, there is a huge opportunity for Symbiosis to fill this space. Moreover, the Diploma in Innovation Corporate Entrepreneurship (DICE) which SIBM Pune has been successfully running is a case in point to suggest that there would be takers for this programme both from the student side as well as from the industry side.
To sum up, sufficient demand exists for such an MBA programme and SIBM is also ready with a suitable programme based on its two-year experience of running DICE.
3. MBA (Leadership & Strategy)
In the present day VUCA world of disruption, innovation and transformation, organizations are regularly on the lookout for leaders who can be change makers and drive business facing the challenges thrown by Industry 4.0.
