Prof. Purkayastha led IMRB International in the capacity of Group Business Director and also served as Associate Director of The Nielsen Company. He has had a diverse teaching experience in his career as well. He has been Adjunct Professor at Praxis Business School teaching Advanced Marketing Research and Marketing Analytics for Data Science and PGDM programs. He has also taught courses related to Analytics, Marketing Research and Consumer Behaviour as Visiting Faculty at IIM Calcutta, XLRI Jamshedpur, XIM Bhubaneswar, IIM Udaipur, IIM Lucknow, and BIM Trichy.
