Vodafone Idea, which is the world’s 2nd largest telecom operator has impacted many of us with “What an Idea Sirji !!!” ad still lingering in our ears. Now being merged together, I guess the Vodafone zoozoo will surely make us dance to zoozoo tune again. Aditya Birla Group is changing the way of living by redefining the standards and giving way to newer experiences which are pathway to Technology disrupted future. It would be a great achievement for me if I am given an opportunity to join ABG in future which I will cherish for my life.
Some instances from my life where I created an impact:
Challenges play a very important role in everyone’s life. Without adversities life becomes somewhat meaningless because we have nothing substantial to look forward to. But once you overcome them, there is nothing that will stand in your way.
I, too, have a similar story. I have always been inclined towards academics a little more than extracurricular activities. So, when I got a respectable score in my senior secondary examination, I, like most of the other students, opted science as a career without giving it much of a thought and without doing the research that I should have done. However, I had no idea about what lay ahead on me. Initially, it was a smooth sailing but as soon as I entered first year of college, things started to turn around. I started realising that my interests do not lie in the field of engineering. I enjoyed the fest management and non-curricular activities more than my academics. I couldn’t discuss this with my parents either as they were expecting so much from me and I was afraid to tell them that their daughter has made a wrong career choice altogether.
But that was the day I decided that instead of dwelling on my failures, I will make up for my career related mistakes by not repeating them. So, with that in my mind, I decided to go all deep into what all options are available to me and more importantly, which career options are in line with my interests and are complimented best by my strengths. Slowly and gradually, I figured out everything and started to make informed decisions for myself. This might sound very trivial to some, but it is quite a big deal for a naïve person to realise his actual worth and being able to work in the correct direction. Today, I am sitting in one of the best Business schools in India and have my career plan sorted for atleast the next 10 years.
We may not know the destination and life may not be a simple jolly affair across the gardens but that gives us no excuse to not enjoy the journey. Enjoy whatever small things you can for that is what really matters.
