Part A: “One Idea can change your life.”

What began as an idea of Seth Shiv Narayan Birla in a simple setup at a village in Pilani in 1857 has now turned into a vast business empire catering to the needs of billions in 35 countries across the globe. It is the relentless journey of 162 years long success that the Aditya Birla Group has credited to its name. In this journey, it has undoubtedly gained utmost respect, admiration, and support by the masses.  It has established so many brands; Idea, Grasim, UltraTech Cement, Hindalco, and Pantaloons to name a few. In addition to my affinity towards these successful brands, what attracted me towards this conglomerate is its contribution towards the social and economic development work for the community.  It has taken up a lot of initiatives to develop a rural area with a wide variety of programs. These activities are indicative of the strong values ABG posses showcasing their eagerness to give back to the society for social welfare. Having been inspired by such actions, I also decided to give my share to the common cause by teaching underprivileged kids near my locality. I believe in the values of ABG and have been influenced by it to align myself with it. In conclusion to this, I would like to say that whatever great success and accomplishments you achieve in your life, never forget your roots. As they say, with great power and success comes greater responsibility.

Part B: Martin Luther once said, “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” Our life is a mix of challenges and happiness. Our ability to handle life's challenges is a measure of our strength of character. Like everyone else, I have also seen my share of problems. Instead of seeing them as roadblocks, I have always tried to turn them into stepping stones. One such challenge was to come out of my comfort zone. It is still easy to stay inside your comfort zone and live life comfortably. But soon, I realized that to succeed in life, I had to cross the self-made boundaries and come out of this comfortable prison and gain freedom. The beginning was hard, but I tried hard to sustain for the greater good. In my quest to become a better version of myself, I kept on trying out new things, meeting new people and learning from their experiences. I have come to appreciate the fact that instead of hiding away from the challenges, one should face it.

I have come far, but there is still more to cover.
