Aditya birla group is an Indian multinational Conglomerate in Mumbai. It operated in around 35 countries and has about 120000 employees. It started with the cotton trading which is now having its imprints in various industries such as viscose staple fiber, metals, cement, viscose filament yarn, branded apparel, carbon black, chemicals, fertilizers, insulators, financial services, telecom, BPO and IT services.
What catches the attention about Aditya Birla for me are their CSR activities. Aditya Birla group has worked in 5000 villages, It reaches out to 7.5 million people, have treated over 1 million patients. Immunized 70 million children against polio. In the field of education, A group operates 56 schools catering to around 46500 students. It has provided solar lamps for 450000 school children. They have also provided midday meals for everyday for 63000 children in 268 schools. This impact if we consider is very huge on a large scale and shows the firm’s dedication of creating an impact socially.
Apart from this I have grew up seeing “More” supermarket chains by ABG. In fact the the first home my father bought had the More supermarket at the shop floor of our building. In a way this supermarket was a close to my heart.
Talking about my story, It has been ride worth living. I hail from a Maharashtrian Family. My early childhood was not as happy as I belonged to a middle-class family who had to make their ends meet. Ambition to achieve heights in life was complimented with an pressure to survive and perform. Throughout this phase I have held strong and always motivated myself to work hard towards my dreams. This life has taught me the importance of being yourself and how important gratitude is in our life. Life has taught me that karma exists and keep doing good deeds in life and they are always calculated no matter if you think its useless. It gave me a completely different way to look at problems and never back down from them.
My advice to people reading this, Life is like an Ocean and it is full of sharks, If you never face them head to head you will never learn. If you want to succeed never back down from sharks.
