Why Aditya Birla Group is Big in life?

Aditya Birla group, a company which has enjoyed presence in one form or the other in multitude of households in India. From Van Heusen to Louis Philippe, Allen Solly to Peter England, I have been surrounded by ABG’s brands for as long as I can remember. From ‘Har badalte Aaj me maine kal ko dekha hai’ to ‘Bade Iraado Me Jaan Daal De’ we all grew up. Remote areas, be it not much explored areas of the hilly state of Uttarakhand or villages in Jharkhand, where every mobile operator used to fail, ‘Idea’ always came to the rescue. Just thinking about different brands under ABG group makes one nostalgic. Aditya Birla Group is a major part of my life.

Aditya Birla Group is a company I look up to. It is a company driven by its values. Its 5 core values, Integrity, Commitment, Passion, Seamlessness and Speed, if followed in our lives can take us miles. The power of 5 indeed! Aditya Birla group never compromised on the social responsibilities. It has treated over 1 million people, provided solar lamps for 450,000 school children and provides midday meals every day for 63,000 children across 268 schools to name a few CSR activities. It gives me immense happiness seeing companies like the ABG group exists. Giving back to the society has always been my aim and seeing a company of such repute working so actively in the same direction makes me relate to it all the more.

Have you made an Impact ?

I from a very young age was branded as a mischievous and careless kid. I was a happy go lucky person. I knew in the back of my mind I would one day prove myself but just wasn’t sure when. Then something unfortunate happened that changed me completely. My father passed away in 2008 when I was just 13 years old. He died in a road accident. It was the hardest time that I have ever experienced in my life. I didn’t know the meaning of death. I was completely lost, unable to express even a single emotion. I started closing myself off from everybody else. I used to feel very sad and lonely. For some time, I had forgotten about my dream to make my parents proud. It took some time but I opened up to my friends and family eventually. They helped me a lot in coping up with the loss and grief. I had my aim clear in me. I stopped wasting time. I started working hard towards my goal. Fast forward to 2019, I completed my engineering with distinction from a decent college in Delhi, got an opportunity to work with ZS Associates, one of the leaders in sales and marketing consulting and finally got to study my MBA from one of the best B-schools in the country. I am happy all along this path I was also able to give back to the society in form of teaching the underprivileged children of my locality. I am pretty sure I have made my father and my family proud and that’s the impact I think I have made.
