Right from my childhood to my journey into IIFT, Aditya Birla Group has played a very important role in my life. It is a well known Indian Multinational conglomerate with a diversified portfolio into various industries like fashion and telecom. I grew up watching the  Idea Advertisement. Whenever, I hear the word Idea,“what an Idea Sir ji” echoes in the back of my mind.

The importance of education for all campaigns promoted by Idea had a deeper impact during my adolescence. Being a civil Engineer, Ultratech Cement is quite a valuable name for me. There is a saying that “the strength of the building lies in its foundation” and having worked in field under the hot sun pouring concrete, really made me strong and resilient. When I look back Ultratech cement reminds me of the tough phase both physically and mentally that I had went through. It certainly made me stronger.

Talking about fashion, I have always been a person who gets out of his comfort zone and try out new things, especially in the field of fashion. Pantaloons just provided me with that. Allen Solly and louis Philippe have been integral part of my work life. Wherein I still remember the emotional look on my father’s face when I put on my first business formal look purchased from Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited’s very own, Pantaloons demonstrates the strong foothold it has in the world of fashion. Finally, one of my most cherished associations is with Aditya Birla capital. When my savings money was lying idle in my bank account, Aditya Birla Sun Life Equity Fund came calling. It not only delivered stellar returns but changed my perception towards mutual funds. Lot of people are still unaware of the returns mutual funds can give when compared to fixed deposits. It also got me interested towards equity and debt markets.

Success isn't always about greatness. It's about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success - Dwayne Johnson

Life is inherently risky. There is only one big risk you should avoid at all costs, and that is the risk of doing nothing. Life throws up many opportunities at us along with various challenges  It is up to us to rise up to the challenge and grab those opportunities. Right from my childhood I have always been active in extra curricular activities and also good at keeping up with my academics. My main challenge was to attain a certain level of greatness and later keep up the level that I have already achieved and strive for more. My attitude always was not to limit myself, but to explore more. Being a football player, I was always plagued with injuries. It took a toll not only on my physical but also mental health. One Specific instance was when I tore my Medial Collateral ligament and was stuck to bed for 3 weeks. Those 3 weeks taught me patience and I found Inspiration in myself, for myself. During my final year of graduation, I was the captain of my college football team. Taking that role was a new challenge and an upward learning curve for me. I took the responsibility and rose up to the challenge. Also, being an engineer, I never really had any background in finance but later learnt that I am passionate about stock markets. However, Not having any background in finance didn’t stop me from trading and investing in stock markets.

Even though it’s hard path, I put in extra hours to learn more about stock markets, due to my sheer interest and dedication. I am an optimistic person and put my sincere efforts in what ever task I take up.
