Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life?

A traditional list of immediate basic needs are food (including water), shelter and clothing. Many modern lists emphasize the minimum level of consumption of basic needs of not just food, water, clothing, and shelter but also sanitation, education, healthcare, access to information and communication mediums. Different agencies use different lists.

ABG, an Indian Multi National Conglomerate which was started back then in 1857 has been rendering a lot of services to the needy till date in different forms and touches people’s lives effectively in terms of its different products and services. Name any basic need of one’s life, Aditya Birla Group has a product to contribute to that need.

1.    Food: More and more things that one needs to make his food ready is available all day in more than enough quantities in “More stores” parented by Aditya Birla Group. When I was living in Kotturpuram area of Chennai, I had always been getting my first basic need (ie, food) fulfilled from ‘more stores” by ABG Group only. More store saved my time by making all the retail needs of mine available at one place, especially the fresh vegetables and fruits. Thank you, ABG.

2.     Shelter: It is the cement products of ABG Group that are keeping most of the infrastructure in the country strong. By that means, knowingly or unknowingly, ABG is making a strong impact in my life as I move around and stay in the country.

3.     Clothing: World’s largest producer of VSF and VFY materials is ABG Textiles. The group's firm Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd sells in-house brands such as Louis Philippe, Allen Solly, Van Heusen, Peter England, and People via their individual brand stores and through other multi-brand outlets. It operates a multi-brand fashion retail chain Pantaloons which it acquired from Future Group. Also acquired exclusive online and offline rights to American fast fashion retailer in India

4.    Other Services: Largest telecom company in terms of subscribers and revenue as on 31/08.2018 is ABG’s Idea-Vodafone. Happily, I am part of the Vodafone family.

Most of all, Aditya Birla Group of companies as the third largest Indian Private Conglomerate with a revenue of US$44.3 Bn in 2018, the contribution towards the employment in the nation and Indian economy is tremendous. Yes, ABG is directly impacting my life in a big way.

How do I overcome my challenges to achieve my ambitions so far?

By Prioritizing.

Yes, I do prioritize things always. The piece of sticky notes all written with the list of tasks noted with the priority level right beside lies in huge numbers in one of my drawers of the table.

Decide My To be Achieved Dream: Before I set to prioritize and work on a certain ambition I first check these 3S.

1)Skill – Do I have the relevant skills to achieve my ambition? If no, Can It be improved in the required time?

2) Scale – Scale means for timeline. How long would it take for me to achieve this dream? If it is going to be taking long years, will the achievement be worth it by the time I achieve?

3) Speed –  How can I minimize the time that I take to complete the work that I do with regards to my ambitions?

I always Check/Recheck/Define all the three above S before I set my ambition and start working on them

Challenges? Yes, they do come. How will I overcome the challenges in my way?

-    By doing Root Cause Analysis

Yes, Root Cause Analysis has been helping me greatly since a long time in my challenges. Finding the root cause, will not only help to overcome the impending challenge but also helps us to save ourselves from falling into the same kind of challenges in the future.

Identifying the root cause is half the solution for any problem. What do I do when I can’t find the solution on my own?

For a professional challenge, I try to form a team of friends or go to my Old Professors, Guides, and Mentors who are trustworthy and experts in their fields.

Wherein for a personal challenge I always go to my younger sister to listen.

After all, in both cases, it is a trustworthy relationship with the people helps us to find a way to the solution to the challenges.

People Matters.
