ADITYA BIRLA GROUP

Being one of the oldest industries in the Indian history and established in 1857, Aditya Birla Group continues to touching lives all across the globe with a presence in 34 countries with a diverse workforce of over 42 nationalities. The presence of this esteemed organization in our day to day lives goes much deeper than we realize.

Aditya Birla Group has a wide spectrum of products and services ranging from telecom sector to being India’s largest Retail house for top fashion brands under Madura Fashion and Lifestyle to name a few. The two most indulging sectors in my life personally would be the use of Vodafone Idea services in communications by bringing my family virtually closer to me and the apparel from top brands like Louis Philippe which form the base and essence of my wardrobe especially in the formals segment. The up to date trends along with high quality materials makes Louis Philippe a must go for me personally when I need something to keep me up to speed in this fast paced corporate lifestyle.

Another front where Aditya Birla Group continues to excel is towards a sustainable business model for the transformation of business to a two degree world. With climate change and global warming being a major concern for the survival of the planet, ABG has come forward with a vision of getting a robust plan by 2030 meeting international standards of practice and this would come out to help not only me but a collective action towards the betterment of the planet and the entire human race.

PART B

My journey in life has been a roller coaster ride which has seen many ups and an equal number if not more of lows which were really hard to deal with and today I am glad that I’ve been through them and I am thankful for all the lessons that life has taught me till now.

I have been a bright student throughout my entire school life with high CGPA in 10th and 12th which everybody in India expects and aspires to get and I joined engineering post that because of the family tradition. (My father and brother both are engineers too). It did not excite me much and being an 18 year old person out of home living on my own the first time, I kind of lost track of where I eventually wanted to be. As a result, I passed my engineering with a 5.7 pointer which was quite low given that I had been a scholar student my entire life. I went on to work with some top brands post my engineering in the sales division and I finally found something which I was good at. I was successful in my career of 2.5 years and hence I eyed a managerial position since I believed I had the skill set to become one. I started preparing for my MBA and went through the procedures and in the meanwhile, I quit my job even when the results were not out yet partially because of my over confidence. As a matter of fact, I could not convert any college in my first attempt and that gave me a seat back in my journey. I had hit rock bottom with being unemployed for about 6 months with no path ahead. I did not give up on my dreams and I again joined another organization and started from scratch and attempted the exams for the second time and my marks flourished and I came to be a part of one of the most established institutes in India.

I take my journey so far as a collection of lessons that life has to teach us. Being humble was one of them and staying positive and working hard even when things are not working out in our favor was the second most important one for me. Today, I look back and take pride in what I have done so far and I am a determined person to do give my 100% to achieve my dreams because I have seen both sides of the coin so far.
