When we talk about management education, everyone thinks about urban development and corporate management. Since I have been living in a metro city, so I always had a fascination for the modernization of the larger part of India ‘Rural India’ where the spirit of our nation lies. After converting almost all the new IIM’s, I chose to pursue my MBA in Kashipur which would lead me to have an insight about the most talked about thing in management which is sustainable management
Amongst the new IIM’s, IIM Kashipur, being one of the most well managed IIMs, appealed to me the most. Kashipur is way ahead of its sister IIM’s be it research infra. The environment here is very conducive to learning and development of the person as a whole. The real-time experience that you can get by interacting with rural population and the data collected here is unmatched by any other institute. It lies evidently in the belief shown by industries in this institute over the years.
Also, the tourism industry in Uttrakhand is huge. Kashipur is only 30 km away from Jim Corbett and 90 km away from Nainital. So if someone wants to explore that side of the industry, then it is the best place to be.
The research program of IIM Kashipur has inducted its fourth batch this year and every fpm student is aligned with a faculty. The quality of papers published by the fellows and the faculty for that matter is exceptionally good.
Being near to Rudrapur, industrial belt gives Kashipur an edge in the operations field. Also, the presence of thirteen Bloomberg terminals gives students immense opportunity to experience the quirks of the financial market on the go.
Moreover, IIM Kashipur delivers more than what people expect of it and also gives its students a feeling of inclusion and belonging which also was a key factor while choosing the institute.

Among the various businesses of Aditya Birla group, I would like to work with Aditya Birla Financial Services. As a finance enthusiast, I am inclined to work in BFSI industry and want to explore it with such a huge company that has business spanning across the whole world. I especially want to explore how they are changing with the disruptive technology that is coming in the financial market. Also with many payment banks coming in the Indian market, I want to work with ABG to learn how to diverge and do sustainable business in such cases
