One challenge in my life was growing up in a village of Bihar, as a part of a joint family. As being a girl, I wasn’t supported to pursue my higher education by a few of my family members. It was a tough journey but my never-give-up attitude helped me to try harder every time I was put down. The toughest challenge I faced was when I couldn’t clear national level exams after 12th which would have helped me to get into engineering. I was hoping to prepare another year to pursue my dream but my family didn’t approve of it, instead suggested me to join inferior courses. It was tough but I thought to make things work out the way I want them to. I put all my efforts and managed to clear super-30 exams which helped me to prepare for engineering entrance without spending a penny. I cleared the exam and got admission into NIT Patna, eventually resulting in a reduced financial burden for my parents. After seeing my achievements, I eventually gained appreciation from my family and my family members are supportive of the girl’s education and it has set a new direction for girls younger than me in my family. It gave me a positive attitude to accept the ups and downs of life with the utmost strength and focus. One example I can think of is the work after joining the job at the intellect design arena, a fin-tech company as a consultant. My role involved developing banking software dealing with the payment module of the banks and interaction with clients. I had the responsibility of understanding the clients’ requirements, develop the product and deliver it to the client. I was a fresher when this project was given to me. It was a daunting task but I accepted the challenge and worked hard to develop the required domain knowledge and finished my tasks efficiently which resulted in appreciation and self-satisfaction. One important lesson I have learned is Problems can't be solved by escaping reality but by facing it with all our strength and positive attitude and now, I understand it is through challenges and the overcoming of them that we learn, grow and be better. #NMIMSMumbai #ABGLPWooMe
