And I was observing faces of my fellow engineer batch mates who after 2 hours of the session still had no idea why they should make an entry in the balance sheet in some specific manner if a business entry consists finding a fake currency in cash inflow. I could understand how hard it was to digest end number of new concepts of a new subject in that short period of time. But a surprise was waiting for us when we heard that there was an announcement of a Quiz for next lecture at 9 in the morning. (which was going to have a weightage in final evaluation). A real short period of time to prepare, well that’s how you learn to manage contingency, right!
But as a part of the student-driven culture, some of my friends and I (having commerce background) felt it was our responsibility to teach basics of Financial Accounts our batch mates who were not from commerce background. The destination for the training room was set at Mid Night Canteen, for my friend and I were going to teach 30 other friends (we divided 150 people into 5 batches). Initially, it was hard to explain accounts in the way they learn science, but after a detailed explanation of basic terms for one hour, it was easy for us to teach in a better manner. We ended our class after 4 hours at 3:00 in the morning.
After completing the quiz, I felt that teaching others last night helped me to brush up my concepts and I was able to perform better. When I met my friends, I could see the satisfaction of doing well. I learned (though I was on the teaching side) joy of giving in the class.

I would like to work with Aditya Birla – Birla Carbon Business. It is said that you need to work hard to be on top, but it is even harder to maintain the position. Birla Carbon is the leader in the industry and known for providing excellent solution across the globe. I have been following transport and tire industry for long. In tires carbon black plays an important role, it will be an opportunity for me to work with the industry leader in the industry where my interest lies.
