Life hasn’t always been a cakewalk. I firmly live by the thought that when the going gets tough, only the tough gets going. A couple of incidents have given me the strength to keep fighting until the goal is achieved. The final days of my undergrad brought about a setback as I happened to be in a major road accident. The medical diagnosis of 4 months of complete bed rest led me to involuntarily miss the final presentation and eventually closely missing a gold medal. Despite the helpless situation I decided to not accept the examination waiver offered by my university and appeared with whatever preparation I could manage. Owing to experimental treatment for the same accident, while working with my company, the reduced medication led to anxiety, depression, and vertigo. Even with extremes of health conditions I maintained self-confidence and was the only woman employee working on a project in the company plant as well. Later as a part of parallelly running projects, I worked for 8-9, sometimes additional hours a day while keeping up with CAT preparations. Although this affected my CAT percentile a little, yet I managed to get calls from some of the premier B-Schools.
