Challenges are the staircase to engagement and progress in our lives. We all have challenges. We have to face them, embrace them, defy them, and then conquer them. Challenges bring out the real version of ourselves, they chisel us and helps us shine brighter.
After Engineering and experiencing the Information Technology industry sitting in a Software Programmers’ seat, I made an informed decision to get into Management side of the industry. But I was an engineer, and I did not start preparing to achieve this life goal that I set for myself. I procrastinated studying for what was going to be the most important examination in my life. Bigger than my Class 10 exam, Class 12 exam, and even JEE, because they were a thing of the past. This was going to be in future. This examination would decide my career.
But the reality hit me hard and it hit me at the right time. I started preparing for CAT and other B-School entrance exams. Apart from the little study material that I had, the online tutorials helped me for the same. Selecting Vodafone – Idea 4G, of the Aditya Birla Group, as my carrier was that “Ek Idea Jo Badal De Aapki Duniya” idea for me. I completed the bulk of preparation travelling to and from office and I did this with the help of video streaming services using them on Vodafone – Idea network. The mobile network never disappointed me and I could prepare peacefully, without any fear of connectivity issues even while travelling.
All the hard work in the last months before the examinations paid off. I cleared CAT and other exams with great results. But this was not the end. I was still a step away from pursuing my dream course. I still had to give the interviews for a seat into the best B-schools of the country.
This was the time when Aditya Birla Group made another big impact in my life. I got my first business suit from Louis Philippe. The first time I wore it and looked at myself in the mirror of the changing room, I felt like I could see the future. I saw Kush Jain all suited up and ready to solve the challenges, the world would throw at him. I gave all my interviews in the same suit. I clearly remember that before every interview I would go and seek the blessing of my grandmother and she would bless me and tell: “Aaj ekdum bada aadmi lag raha hai”.
I converted a few B-Schools and took the decision to join the PGPM program at the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon. I had conquered the challenge. And I have started climbing on the staircase to attain the goals that I have set for myself.
We all know that life never stops throwing challenges at us. But I am sure that with the Aditya Birla Group touching my life every day and standing with me as a hidden supporting pillar, I will be equipped to face any challenge that life throws.
Thank you, the Elixir of my Life!
