Behavioral connection is the inherent part of human life. The most relatable aspect of my life is the diversity in which Aditya Birla Group is the leader. It is active in about 14 industry sectors and is the world leader in aluminum beverage can sheets and also the world’s largest recycler of used beverage cans. I have always been a multitasker since my childhood- taking part in extra and co- curricular activities such as singing, painting, skits, plays, sports, athletics, and teaching. This created a metamorphic relationship with the Aditya Birla Group which I could relate to anytime I needed motivation, needed the push to overcome any challenge that I ever faced in my life.
As I knew more about the group, its working and presence I could relate even more. I went shopping with my brother for his marriage and realized the leading and my dream brands- Van Heusen, Louis Phillippe all come under the Aditya Birla Group. Pantaloons- the fashion retailer of the group with a network of 275 stores spanning over 3.76 million square feet, Aditya Birla Finance- 3rdlargest NBFC in India, and the kind of work done by the group in social sector motivated me even more to push my limits, try my hands and gain experience in diverse fields and help the underprivileged. We started teaching underprivileged kids for free, conducted sessions and provided food to the orphan and provided waivers for the poor students.
Aditya Birla Group is truly a motivation for anyone who wants to help others, serve the needy, and lead the country and the world with diverse portfolio of products and services. With the kind of influence the group, its works and its advertisements have on me and my family I can proudly say that- “Yes, Aditya Birla Group is big in my life”.
“There is no challenge more challenging than the challenge to improve ourselves.” Challenges are the inherent part of the survival of any being but on the flip side of any challenge lies the reward which pushes us to face the challenge, overcome it and achieve what we desire.
I was among the toppers as well as the ones who failed to submit their assignments on time during my primary school days. In due course of time, due to mandatory evaluation and pressure from family and teachers I started focusing on my assignments which was the biggest challenge for me. But soon I realized they were of great help in letting me understand, memorize and comprehend better what we were asked to prepare for the examination.
Completing my assignments and engaging in extra and co-curricular activities went hand on hand and were being deeply rooted in my mind to carry forward to the rest of my life. This experience further intensified when we shifted to our new home and my mother started taking tuitions for the primary school students. I took interest and started tutoring students younger than me and this grew into a habit and also as an obligation which I needed to serve and prioritize before anything else. This is when I experienced what my father used to describe as Work pressure, I would not take naps in the afternoon, or go to play with my friends, and was bound to take class even on Sundays. Then after some years life took turns when a student named Vikas took admission to be tutored by me. His family had great expectations out of us to improve his score and understanding. This made me focus more on my students, collectively as well as individually and I started enjoying what I was doing. I started engaging my students in fun activities, group study and evaluation processes and to everyone’s surprise Vikass’ score improved from grade D to grade B(60% increase) and we both overcame our challenges together.
Life is full of challenges, ups and downs. My next and the biggest ever challenge was to spend my graduation days in my hometown itself which ruined my expectations of an independent life in a new city. But to my surprise this challenge proved to be a boon rather than a bane. I had my bike to roam anywhere around the city, I started enjoying my college days, made my own robot from scratch, participated in various intercollege competitions, and even worked on my own startup idea and was granted seed fund from the Indian Government to work on my startup.
All this experiences made me realize that life presents us with challenges so we may become a better version of ourselves. Sometimes things may not be so clear at first, they may seem hard- this is when we need to follow our instincts, maintain our composure and look forward to the bigger picture in life that is the outcome, the reward which lies ahead! #NMIMSMumbai #ABGLPWooMe
