Life is a journey that must be travelled no matter how bad the roads and accommodations.
-Oliver Goldsmith
The road of life is never going to be flat; it is all about the ups and downs that you encounter which makes life more interesting. For a person belonging to a middle class family, I had a good childhood. Being the only son to my parents, I was pampered and not exposed to the realities of the world. However, when I joined my pre-university college, I had hard times adjusting to the new surroundings, interacting with people having different mind-sets. I was hit by depression and as a result, my performance started to soar.
But never ever I gave up on my hope to come back strong. I picked up the stones in my way to build an ambitious path. I started to travel solo which broadened my social and cultural horizons, travelling helped me discover myself and unleash my potentials. I interned for a NGO named Leaders Accelerating Development (LEAD), Deshpande foundation which provided me the platform to take up social initiatives and also network with people from all over the country. These activities helped me transform positively and perform well in my academics. My final year engineering project was awarded the best project of the year in 41st series student project program by Karnataka State Council of Science and Technology (KSCST). I consider this one of my greatest achievements so far.
But this is just the beginning, there are many milestones yet to be achieved in my journey. I have just started a new chapter of my life at TAPMI and I hope to continue the process of learning, adapting and applying to reach greater heights in life.
