How often we fail to look for the presence of somethings around us. My first encounter with the Aditya Birla Group brand was through Idea cellular network which is now known as Vodafone-Idea. It was the first 4G network in my city and still the best out there. Being from a small city my first branded clothes came much later and now that I do realize it is Peter England which is my all-time favorite.
Aditya Birla Group is present everywhere with its wide portfolio of products. Before joining IIFT Delhi, my choice of brands was Allen Solly, American Eagle, Van Heusen. I never realized that I was surrounded by so many brands of Aditya Birla Group and they play such an important role in my life.
I have had many encounters with these brands but latest was of Van Heusen where I went to purchase a tie before joining IIFT, Delhi and it is at Ven Heusen that I found my perfect choice of tie. These events made me look back into the past and now that I have, I know Aditya Birla Group plays a major role in everyone’s life through various brands. The group as a whole is supporting various schemes to uplift the underprivileged and help them during various challenges in life. Forever21 is another brand under ABG which has always helped me to purchase a gift for my family on special occasions. Even though we don’t realize it but ABG is playing a very important role in helping and making our lives easier through various quality brands whenever we faced any challenges.
It’s not easy to overcome challenges in life when you are particularly young and naive. Having started my schooling in a village school and then burning the midnight oil to get into one of the country’s best boarding school was not an easy task for an 11-year-old. Leaving your parents is not an easy task at such an early age and that point of time I learned to control my emotions. I not only sustained myself but also made the best possible use of the opportunity to develop myself. I did twice the hard work to keep up with my classmates.
Despite facing multiple challenges in my schooling days life was different altogether after that. I struggled to keep up with the pace and changing nature of the world. This led me into a phase where I doubted every decision and questioned myself at every phase. The important advice that I received at this time was from my father was to keep giving my all and leave everything else. I did exactly that and kept trying again and again for my aim.
The most challenging time came when I met with a severe accident at the time of starting my career in the corporate world. My manager at that point of time helped me immensely and this helped me to build confidence after joining the company again. I was lacking due to the missed training and this challenge was difficult to overcome. I just did what I always try to do to give it my all. In the end, I always believe in the thought that “Our ability to handle life's challenges is the measure of our strength of character” by Les Brown.
