I remember the cement bags carrying the name of UltraTech Cement that my grandfather was using to build his house. It has been many, many years but his face beaming with pride is a memory I will always remember. His dream was coming true and UltraTech Cement was a part of it. It might be one of my earliest memories with Aditya Birla Group but they have never ceased to touch my life.
They are committed to delivering superior value to their customers and society at large and it shows through their different brands. The Pantaloons store near my home has been associated with some of the best shopping trips I have had with my mother, being these special bonding sessions between the two of us with the Pantaloons collection catering to our divergent tastes. How can I forget the numerous Peter England shirts and T-shirts I bought on Father’s Day for my father. Or the Louis Philippe suit my brother bought for his first interview. I got my first suit at Allen Solly, complete with their collection of greatly comfortable formal shoes. I have my family memories tied through Aditya Birla Group, using my Vodafone Idea sim to stay in touch while I am away from home.
This is only a small part of the lives that Aditya Birla Group touches everyday with their work and contributions. Their work touches millions and it is a proud heritage.
Challenges are a part and parcel of life, there is no real learning without a hard challenge. Our hardships shape us as much as our successes do. Recently I had faced a health crisis. It was a scary experience that had left me dejected by itself but it was more unfortunate that it had coincided with a period of important examinations in my life. I was dealing with something I had no agency over. The period of treatment and healing that followed the began affecting my studies which added to the feeling of dejection and confusion, and suddenly for the first time in my life I was at a loss as to how to get this spiraling situation under control. The ripple effect was affecting every aspect of my life nut my studies were hit the worst.
However, as one realises in moments of crisis, strength has to be found within. My family was constantly supporting and caring during the ordeal and that gave me hope. Owing to that I developed a more optimistic and positive outlook towards my situation, which made me determined to persevere out of it. I worked twice as hard towards my studies to make up for the time I had lost. This situation was one of the most challenging situations I had to face, affecting my body, mind and personality. However, as I start these new innings at my dream school, dressed in my Allen Solly, I see the learning I got from it. This experience taught me the significance of optimism and perseverance anew.
