WHY ADITYA BIRLA GROUP IS BIG IN MY LIFE:-
Aditya Birla Group is US $44.3 billion corporation and anchored by an extraordinary force of over 120,000 employees belonging to 42 nationalities. Since its inception in 1857, it has grown to become the third-largest Indian private sector conglomerate with operations in 34 countries across 5 continents.
It has a plethora of businesses under it, notably Grasim (textiles), Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail (ABFRL), Birla Carbon (carbon black), Aditya Birla Chemicals (chemicals), Aditya Birla Insulators (insulators), Essel Mining (mining) amongst many others.
Aditya Birla Group has a huge presence in various sectors be it fashion, telecom, health, finance, pulp, metals, carbon, fertilizers etc. It has an impact on almost every Indian’s life and its products are almost used by every Indian on a regular basis. The apparel we wear, the houses we live in, ABG has been playing a huge role in it.

Now with its merger with Idea, it has become the largest mobile service provider in India. Vodafone-Idea has been playing an important role in my life by connecting me with my family with their amazing services.

My father is a Civil Engineer by profession. Whether during his site construction or building our dream home Ultra Tech cement has been the go to brand of cement for construction purposes. The quality of this cement and the trust that it brings is one of the reason why Aditya Birla Group has been a critical part of our life.
Giving back to the society is a very important part of any organization and Aditya Birla group has taken commendable initiatives in the areas of education, social change, livelihood and sustainability. Some of the key steps taken are:-

4,500 self-help groups created with an overall view to empower women, partnership with industrial training institutes, vocational training through Aditya Birla Rural Technology Parks, watershed development
Dowry-less marriage, widow remarriage, de-addiction programmes
Aditya Birla CSR Centre of Excellence and Aditya Birla Centre for Community Initiatives and Rural Development and performance management (developing plans for the development of the marginalized).
Moving on to sustainability in the way they work, Novelis is the world’s largest recycler of used beverage cans and Idea Cellular launched the ‘Green Idea’ initiative with Aditya Birla Group aiming at reduction in carbon dioxide emission. There is also a continuous endeavor to reduce carbon footprint, reduce water consumption and conversion of waste to raw material.
With a strong vision to contribute to the country, the group has built a strong image of being a socially responsible corporate group and thus, it has maintained an amiable relationship with people of all socio-economic groups.
ABG’s products have played a huge role in my life and I will always be grateful. They have contributed significantly for India's development and hopefully will continue to do so in the foreseeable future.
HOW I OVERCAME A CHALLENGE IN MY LIFE:-
One of the challenging situations that I have encountered was during my 2nd year of graduation. I have been a decent academic performer throughout my career but when my 3rd semester results were published I was devastated by my performance. I had a back in one of the subjects and my cgpa was also very low as compared to my previous performances. I was shocked and almost broke down on seeing my dismal performance. I was frightened to share this information with my parents but eventually decided to inform them. I was disappointed about my results and this failure seemed to have a negative impact on me. I just dwelled on those thoughts and could not concentrate on my studies. I was low on self esteem. But my parents were supportive and they advised me not to worry too much as there will be tough times in life. They motivated me to do well in upcoming examinations. I realized that and when I reviewed why I had not been able to perform well I got my answers. Well after that I applied for rechecking and worked hard for the upcoming examinations.
I have learnt two very important things from this. First not to procrastinate and another to learn from your mistakes. Rather dwelling on your mistakes one should seek what actions could be taken to improve the situation and also learn how to deal with failures.
