Aditya Birla Group has been an indispensable part of our lives since forever. It has managed to touch millions not just through its products but also through the core values that it follows. Recognised for its integrity, commitment and passion it has influenced so many lives in BIG ways. While the definition of BIG varies, for me it was being connected to my loved ones. Vodafone idea network has been that connecting link that brought plethora of people, far away from their loved ones together. The world is a big and yet such a small and connected place and Aditya Birla Group has made this possible through this network. Big for me is also about living our dreams and living those dreams together. So, even when someone is miles away from people they love, they could still linger their presence over a call. The beauty of getting to hear the voice of people close to us is alpine and can’t be put to words. This is just one of the many ways Aditya Birla group touches lives. And in so many inexplicable ways it continues to be a part of the journey of our lives. The name exemplifies performance, perfection and character. And not just this brand, there are so many others as well. The sheer happiness one experiences after shopping in pantaloons with friends and family is astounding.  This might not be because of something materialistic like clothes, but because of the beatific feeling of being together with friends or family.

Our ability to handle life’s challenges is a measure of our strength of character. Life is hard and every single person has a story to tell. Stories filled with challenges where people get sick, old and not the job they desire. And it might come as easy but it leaves an everlasting impact on our personalities. And I am no exception. I too have faced various challenges in life and yes they are no different from others and yet they are so not similar. I have seen failures, disappointments, diseases and I have overcome all of it. In my first attempt for IIFT I missed the cut off by 0.01, and a number as small as this made me wait for an entire year. Still, I do not consider this a failure. Where I failed at was self believe. The inability to overcome my fears, the loss of self esteem and self worth was definitely a failure. But, in those days of self contemplation I realised that numbers, admissions and positions are superficial. And even though it’s good to have them they still do not define success. Success is something that we define for ourselves. If we have the undying spirit of not giving up and not letting numbers and positions downplay us we have succeeded.

Because the truth is that stress doesn't come from your boss, your kids, your spouse, traffic jams, health challenges, or other circumstances. It comes from your thoughts about these circumstances. - Andrew J. Bernstein
