It was my 10th birthday and I still have the memory of little me waiting for a gift from my sweetest Dad. And as always ,I wasn't disappointed by this person who makes me feel very special on this earth. He gifted me a floral Honey dress from Pantaloons. Meanwhile I could see my mom who was busy preparing cake using delice in the kitchen. Wearing the floral dress I cut the fluffy cake and enjoyed the special day with all my friends. That was also the last day with my best friend Komal as she was moving out of the city forever. Tears rolled out from my eyes reminiscing the memories as after 15 years I am going to meet her for the first time.
I packed one of her favourite Dish Aloo Parata using Freshpakk to allow it keep fresh for a long time. I started my journey to Komal's house and reached the township she lives in after 8 hours of travelling. I was amazed looking at the houses in the township which were intricately carved and looked quite robust. When inquired the watchman regarding the construction he said these were built-up of Ultratech cement and it's been twenty five years since construction.
On reaching I knocked the door and Komal's father who was in Vanheusen suit and her mom greeted me. I was said to wait in the living room and Uncle left for office. Finally Komal arrived and it was the most ecstatic moment in my life to meet my childhood buddy after so long. We shared memories and our past life. She was happy to know that I am pursuing MBA from IIFT-Delhi. We planned to go for shopping together and used my Aditya Birla Idea Payments Bank Limited debit card for my entire shopping. Later we had a delicious dinner and before departing for the day I gifted Komal with a Forever 21 top. She was elated by the gift and we bade Adieu until next time.
On my way home I was reminiscing the events right from morning and found Aditya Birla Group as a common bond which connected the events in my life together. Aditya Birla Group founded in 1857 is India's 3rd largest Indian private sector conglomerate. Never imagined that a single group could bring me such memorable events in my life. Hope it spreads the same happiness to friends, families and every individual.
Challenges in my Life:
“When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change.” Paulo Coelho. And I feel the same. Challenging environment has allowed me to discover more of myself. My journey of challenges begins this way. I have taken up Mechanical Engineering course during my under graduation . I was warned that the course was biased towards the “male crowd”. But why should boys have all the fun?? I made myself physically fit by regular exercising and competed equally with boys for workshop activities. I faced every challenge with strong determination and I was the only one in the whole batch to be selected by the Day Zero company – Tata Boeing Aerospace limited. And I started my journey as a Aerospace engineer. During my work tenure one of the biggest challenge I faced was when I was selected as Lead Manufacturing Engineer for one of the segments of the US Based Apache Fighter Aircraft project. This role made me much more responsible. Leading a team for the first time , defining the complete process of assembly for the module and resolving the technical queries was not a joke. I took up these challenges as opportunities to grow .I spent extra hours every day for analyzing the design, training my team to strengthen their technical knowledge, monitoring the work progress everyday through meetings, and streamlining the SAP activities related to my department. Finally the production went smooth without any glitches. And, I eagerly wait for still more challenges to come up.
