In order to live a fulfilled life one of the key requirements of a person is clothing. At times in clothing, people choose comfort over quality but at the occasions when we have to look our best then certainly for men the Formal clothes come into play. Be it a wedding or an interview or day to day life at office the safest, most easy to wear and certainly the most attractive looking clothes are the classic suits. And in addition to that the combination of a classic shirt and a trouser along with leather shoes preferably black can be found in the wardrobe of every corporate man. Hence one has to be very choosey for the brand one picks for his corporate life clothing. Personally, for me Van Heusen was the one.
Being an IITian I have always preferred comfort over style and fashion and hence never found the need to wear any formal clothing. But at the age of 21 when I had to give the presentation for my summer internship and was asked to dress up in formal clothing then I encountered the brand Van Heusen for the very first time. My dad has always been a loyal customer of Van Heusen and he recommended me the same. My very first shopping of formal clothing was a pair of white and light blue shirts and a pair of black trousers. At 21 every boy wants to become a man and clothing makes that difference. Wearing that white shirt and trouser with black leather boots made me feel that even I can look good too.
After that its been 2 years now and I have brought many shirts, trousers and even 3 to 4 suits and the solo brand that’s been my caterer was, is and will always be Van Heusen.
Now speaking about myself, I am an engineering graduate of IIT Patna (2014 - 18). My overall graduation score was particularly bad and that demotivated and obstructed me from achieving my dream of getting a good MBA college. But I didn’t loose hope and worked hard for my CAT exam. And my hard work was rewarded, when I got a staggering percentile of 99.94 in CAT 2018 among 2.1 Lakh candidates and it roughly translated to an All India Rank of 125 which has been my biggest achievement till date. In the later stages of GDPI rounds, being an introvert at times I lacked confidence in my communication skills and didn’t do well in my mock interviews but I maintained my perseverance and finally got admit into MDI Gurgaon and here as well my previous CAT score played a major role and my story from being a five point someone from IIT Patna to going into MDI. Van Heusen’s suits and formal clothing made me feel good about myself before my interviews and in times when I felt nervous and pressurized this clothing made me see myself as a confident person and I was able to sail through. So this brand holds a special place in my heart and I intend to continue purchasing from Van Heusen.
