It’s been about half an hour and I am still struggling to write my first sentence.So, let me divide my story into parts so it can give you a clear idea about my journey.
It all started with my father’s suggestion, when he asked me to prepare for CAT. As I always wanted to be an entrepreneur, so I started preparing for CAT. I can still vividly remember writing down the meaning of protest, rebel in my register as this was the time when I had to switch from Hindi to English. At that point of time, I didn’t know the difference between him and her, so I realized that I had to put some extra efforts to clear the sectional cutoff. I completed word power made easy within 2 months and filled around 6 registers for vocabulary only. But you know, CAT is not about vocabulary, It’s all about your comprehension skills. I took around 50 mocks from various courses but never ever able to get more than 25 percentiles in the verbal section. You people won’t believe it, I used to sweat a lot during verbal section Though, I was sleeping only for three hours and the rest of the time used to go to the library or classes. Then the D day came, and I got only 47 percentiles in verbal, overall 94.87 percentile and decided to write CAT again.
This time I was at home so thought of putting extra more efforts. I started giving TIME and HITBULLSEYE mock. My percentile used to hover around 70 to 80 in verbal sections. I did all the things one could have done but this time, I was able to manage only 78 percentiles in the verbal section. I got overall 96.05 percentile, but I realized I still had something that could motivate me to write CAT again. I left home and joined TCS.
After training in TCS Ahmedabad, I got Chennai as my base location and I was excited about the fact that I was going to South India. After coming to Chennai, I was not able to get time to study. In the meanwhile, I started having some health problems due to change in food and atmosphere and I went through a number of medical tests hoping that finally, I would be able to focus on things if all these things got over. Even after doing medication, I was not feeling well and used to sleep only for 3 – 4 hours so I could get some time to study. I took a month leave from TCS and prepared for CAT. This time I got 98.91 overall and 87 in verbal and I also got a call from IIFT, MDI, and new IIMS. Afterward, I had to go on the weekend to the office, so I decided to quit my job and give my full focus to GD-PI preparation. Unfortunately, I converted only IIM- Sirmaur. As I had already left the job, I went back to my hometown. I was not able to do anything and not able to sleep for two months. I am really indebted to my family that they never asked me to do any job or do something during that phase. My brother used to tell me during that time, even if you don’t want to do anything in life, I am always with you but don’t lose hope. This thing really inspired me and gave me the hope that I really needed at that time.
This time I didn’t prepare as much as I did in the last three years, but I got a reasonably good percentile in CAT and XAT. In CAT I got 99.5 (Verbal – 99.13) while in XAT 99.771 (Verbal – 98.XX). and finally converted MDI Gurgaon. This journey has taught me to remain humble and not to give up even you are going through adverse conditions as when the going gets tough, the tough get going. For me, it would have been impossible without my family who was always there to help me out. One thing, I want to leave you with “Kar khudi ko buland itna ki khuda bhi puche bata bande teri raza kya hai”.

The way this group has been working as a part of CSR activity is quite tremendous either by training women to become entrepreneur or illuminating the lives of school children. These things make this group separated from all other enterprise spanning across the world.
