Aditya Birla Group has a ubiquitous conglomerate which has a presence in over 34 countries with a remarkable employee force. It’s tough to say that we had not been associated with ABG at some point in time from our childhood. Many businesses come under the umbrella of the Aditya Birla Group like the Fashion and retail chain, Mining, Capital amongst the prominent ones.
The service it has provided with telecom operator like Idea, the varied fashion mix offered through brands like Linen-club, Peter England, Van Heusen and Forever 21, made our infrastructural dream feasible through a brand like Ultra Tech cement; it is a conglomerate that can be emulated for generations to come.
The other reason I admire ABG is because of their generosity towards society that we live in. The initiatives taken by ABG like rehabilitations for malicious addictions and anti-dowry marriages are really commendable. These social deeds align with my ideologies as I’m associated with multiple Ngo’s. ABG has struck the chord with people of all socio-economic groups sustaining their brand for years to come
Challenges in my life and how I overcame them to achieve my ambitions?
Being adept in analytical abilities, I chose relevant stream in intermediate education, coming from a typical Indian family there was always an air of appreciation around the words NIT’s and IIT’s, it was really a big deal to be there in my social circle, but little did I knew that those words would actually become my ambitions and pose a great challenge in front of me. From then my goal was to crack IIT and AIEEE to secure a seat in those institutes of national importance. But I was not able to secure a seat in those premier institutes during my 1st attempt, there was a cloud of doubt circling me about my capabilities, it has dented my confidence for the next few weeks and filled me with a sense of disappointment. I almost joined a local college making peace with my dream, convincing myself that local colleges aren’t so bad and that not everyone who gets into those institutes be necessarily successful.
But then I knew deep down I was just not willing to accept the pacifying side of mine, I decide to go for a long term, I had to convince by parents that I will crack it this time, and there were people who casted doubts and trying to convince me that it’s not worth to take a gap year it was chaotic. It was my first hostel experience in my long term, I had to adjust to the “new face” of life, I felt immense pressure, but then I worked hard and was able to crack it, “All’s well that ends well”. However all these experiences and small challenges I face during that phase of my life increased my self-confidence and given a great deal of maturity. Initially I was a bit over anxious towards new challenges that I face. But the dedication and hard work which I possess made me what I am today by overcoming several hurdles. The feeling of achieving something is also one of the force which driven me towards success.
