Aditya Birla group, as I was growing up the name Birla was one among the very few whose example was given to denote the paramount level of success in the Indian mindset. Among the industrialists who shaped the economy of rising India, the name Birla always shines bright.

My father's business is in the construction sector and his trust towards Ultra-Tech cement is rock solid like the structures made by Ultra-Tech cement. Once I too got the chance to plan the construction of our house and undoubtedly I chose what was best there and that is the product of the Birla group. One feeling which connects me the most to Aditya Birla group is the memory of the fragrance when I opened my lunchbox in school, the food wrapped in ‘Freshwrapp' felt like it was freshly made.

As time passed, I found a perfect brand to suit my dressing needs, it was Allen Solly and Van Heusen. The trust came by the name of Birla group and love for it came after I started using it, and to this date, they both claim a major part of my wardrobe.

I started using the mobile phone a little later in life than my classmates and friends while taking the operator subscription the tagline "an idea can change your life" was reverberating in my mind, till today my primary number is of Vodafone-idea.

Apart from these direct effects, the Birla group has many indirect effects on my life through its different kinds of businesses in polymer, aluminum, carbon black, etc.

I would like to thank the Aditya Birla Group for providing this quality service to the people worldwide.

Crossing the Valley- Challenges in life

Growing up and subsequent life is a journey everyone has to make but what makes a person is a pace and attitude with which the journey has been covered. It's a never-ending journey till death obviously, so we generally select some time pointers in past to review and memorize our state and analyze how well we coped with the bumps of the journey at that particular phase of life.

I was always inspired by the idea of ‘Stoicism', it is a philosophy founded by Zeno in Athens. A version of stoicism can also be found in Bhagwat Geeta. There are many parallel processes and interconnected processes going on around us, in this complex net of events, there may be a slight change in any small event which can affect our life. The slight change most of the time is not in our control but dealing with the effects of that change is in our control. There may be apocalypse going on, but what best we can do to save ourselves and as many people as we can instead of cursing God for the apocalypse is the idea of stoicism.

To overcome challenges, I gradually learned and still learning to be indifferent emotionally about that challenge. Indifference not at all means inaction, it's the opposite. An indifferent mind can take fearless and unbiased decisions that have the best possibility to tackle successfully with the challenge. Like Zeno of Athens, who was shipwrecked and was forced to survive in hostile territory, I always tried to be ready to go out of my comfort zone and tackle the problems head-on with the tools of logic and indifference towards it.

Life is but a valley, I have crossed mountains and rested beside a river after that and I am indifferent towards the larger mountain if it comes.
