Why Aditya Birla Group is Big part of my life
The time from July to September is the season of summer placements for most B-Schools. Students work hard during the day, running between classes and guest lectures & burn the midnight oil preparing for the placement process. Everyone wants to give their best, be it their preparation, communication or formals. For what may be the most important process of my career I could not find any outlet for decent formals to wear, apart from Allen Solly. There are hardly any one-stop stores for business formals for girls. Even when so much emphasis is being given for greater participation of girls and greater number of girls joining B-Schools every year, the availability and options of business formals for girls are very few. Allen Solly is the only brand that I have relied on for all my formals for many years. It has played a big part in my life as proper & comfortable formals is a necessity to look sharp and boost your confidence. From the time of admission process of B-Schools and now to classes after admission, Allen Solly has remained a constant. The importance is so much that I could not think of any other brand to buy my formals for the upcoming season of interview processes. I believe that Allen Solly will continue to lighten up my wardrobe.
How I have overcome challenges to achieve my goals.
I was an introvert and had a naturally quitter nature. In school days, I preferred to stay with my school childhood friends. As I grew, I found it easier to connect and share ideas and thoughts one to one rather than in groups or on front of wider audience. Though I had the ability to think deeply, quietly assess situations and people, manage emotions, etc., I used to process my thoughts internally and, in the process could not communicate my thoughts to others. My confidence used to dwindle a lot because of this. Knowing that neither extroverts nor introverts are necessarily better and that world’s greatest leaders like Rosa Parks and Abraham Lincoln, were introverts, made me confident about my capabilities. I also realized that lack of proper communication lead to uncertainty and I needed to fill my gaps. I needed to push myself into conversations and situations when needed. I started to communicate my thoughts in multiple ways. Planning in advance and anticipating how to approach and interact with others helped me gain a sense of control, and therefore, decrease anxiety. I rose to the challenge by being open to the opinions of others, being fearless in asserting myself, and emphasising on my active listening. In the process I have also developed ability to connect well with people.
