Having 44.3billion USD in revenues to operating in 34 countries across five continents, with over 130 state-of-the-art manufacturing units anchored by 120,000 employees belonging to 42 different nationalities Aditya Birla Group has become a truly global conglomerate Its presence in our life is massive.
With a diverse portfolio and group leader in several sectors in India like fashion, cement and concrete, mobile, life insurance and asset management. It has a significant contribution to the GDP of India. Not only it has assisted infrastructural development by building its various businesses but also created a huge employment opportunity for the people in every sector.
Coming to importance of ABG in my life I have been always been a loyal customer of Idea services, telecom services have always taught me how easily communication is possible and how important it is to reach the world with your strengths. As one of the largest telecom networks, it has definitely impacted the life of an average Indian.
Coming to the fashion industry being a millennial myself, one of the most important aspect today for us is fashion. The clothing section with Pantaloons and brands like Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly and Peter England has always catered for my work formals, casual brunches, and weekend parties’ requirements.
Also ABG group has always been a caring corporate citizen always actively contribute to the social and economic development of the communities and has always played a role in raising the country's Human Development Index.

Game-Changer
During my graduation period I was part of the Formula Student team where we built a life size Formula Style race car that is evaluated on design, durability, cost, marketing plan and performance. We had participated in FSI 2015 event, though we were confident with our work we were not able to clear even the 1st Technical Inspection round in the event, that was a big set back for me and my team.
After the event we sat as a team in brainstorming on the mistakes we made and changes we need to incorporate before participating in next competition, most important thing for me was to keep the morale of the team high especially of the junior team members. We got inputs from our seniors and made discussions with other teams as well, we worked day in day out on the car with proper structured planning and worked as a team. We then participated in the Supra 2015 event and our impact of our hard-work started to show, we were the first team to clear all technical inspections and we secured 1st and 2nd ranks in the CAE and acceleration events respectively. Also in the virtual round of Supra 2016 we had All India Rank 1.
This event gave me precious life lessons. The first lesson being I learned that if you work hard with proper planning, it will always pay off. This event also taught me the value of working in a team and collaboration, which further helped me while working in teams in my corporate life.
