Part - A: Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life

Aditya Birla Group, being as vast a group as it is, has touched my life at various points and in various way. The most important one being CSR in the Group. I have a strong inclination towards contributing to the society, and making it a better place. The effort and emotion behind it are important for me, no matter how big or small the contribution may be. When I see being the vast range of activities and issues addressed via CSR in Aditya Birla Group, I feel inspired by it. Be it education, healthcare, skill building trainings or nourishment, the Group has a presence everywhere.

Having worked with an NGO as a part of the curriculum in college, I had the opportunity to work at the grassroot and see the realities of the world. During the course of those few days, I had the chance to meet children from the underprivileged background, and also their families. Interactions with them made aware of the challenges they face, the challenges that the NGO faces, and how they address and tackle those challenges. It was an amazing learning experience.

When I see Aditya Birla taking initiatives in various social space, it inspires and encourages me to contribute to the society, and strengthens my inclination towards working for the society. I plan to contribute to the society in whichever way I can.

Part - B: How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far

Facing hurdles and challenges is a part of life. We can’t avoid them, but we can certainly learn how to face and handle them, and learn from them. Whenever I have been faced with a challenge, my approach has been to identify various ways of addressing that challenge, and what decisions I can take. I evaluate the pros and cons of each decision, both in the long and short term, and then I make a choice as to what is the best way to go about the challenge, given the situation.

I also seek help from my peers, family, and people who’ve gone through similar challenges, if any. I consult them, take their views and suggestions, discuss my tentative course of action with them, and take their inputs from the same.

I also try to learn from the challenges and experiences that I face, and keep these learnings in mind for the future. Experience is the best teacher, each challenge brings its owns set of learnings. Instead of worrying about it, I try to focus on how I can make the best of the situation for all the stakeholders involved.

During my prior work experience, there were a few challenging projects that were assigned to me. I tried to think of the various ways that I could approach them, consulted my team and my manager while evaluating the alternatives, and then decided how to tackle the challenges. I also spend time in understanding the situation and taking learnings from it.
