Why is ABG big in my life?
Aditya Birla Group, a company whose foundation was laid down in 1875 by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla, is now a global brand. They have marked their presence in nearly all industrial sectors, from something as small as staple fibre, chemicals, fertilizers to something as big as telecom, BPO, financial services, and IT services. But the main reason for the success of this brand was that it helped realize the dreams of people. Rather than just positioning themselves on the shelf store, they were targeting the hearts of millions.
This brand is very close to my heart because it helped us build our paradise. I still remember those days when we started the construction of our house. For my dad, it was a proud moment and emotional one for my mom, but for me, it was just a building made up of bricks and cement. But of course “The Engineer’s Choice” helped us build something beautiful, something heavenly. Not just this, even the theme to go green was inspired by the “Save paper” campaign which long back made us aware of the damage we were causing to the environment. My family started constructing a house, but Aditya Birla Group was the one who helped us create a home, something which was not just bricks and cement rather something that had feelings associated to it, something blissful.
But then came a hard part……..
How Have you Made an Impact
By the time my home was ready, I was at the verge of completing my graduation. An ambitious boy who was highly motivated by the corporate culture wanted to go out of town and explore some new opportunities. I left behind my well-established family business, with a dream to achieve something on my own.
But to start something you need to have some capital and relevant experience, hence I landed in an average IT job, but always remembered my ultimate goal. Every day was motivated by the slogan “The Way Forward, Evolve Everyday.” With my job, I tried my luck in many different types of business opportunities. In my endeavours, I faced many challenges, which taught me how to take care of legal issues, human resources, and deal with government organizations. With time I gained maturity in taking business decisions and create contacts. With the passage of time, I realized that to achieve something great; I will have to give up on capitalizing on small businesses.
On the path to achieve the bigger dream, I gave up on all sorts of odd jobs. Currently, I am pursuing my MBA from IIM Ranchi with a hope that this will be “Beginning of good things.” In this journey thanks to ABG Idea cellular network that a part of me is still connected to my home and hope that one fine day I will come across “An Idea that can change my life.”
