In a country with more than 130 crores citizens, there must be hardly anyone who till date remains untouched by the presence of Aditya Birla Group. Founded in the year 1857, ABG has come along a long way, continuously aiding and influencing thousands of lives per day. From the times my mother packed my lunches in Freshwrapp aluminium foil to the time I appeared for my MBA interviews clad in Van Heusen formals, I am among one of those citizens who had the opportunity to be connected to Aditya Birla group, knowingly or unknowingly, throughout my life. Being born and brought up in the metropolitan city of Mumbai, various aspects of my life, till date, remain dependent on ABG including my Vodafone-Idea cellular connection, my favourite shopping store Pantaloons, one-stop fashion brand Forever 21 and many more. As said by Kumar Mangalam Birla, ” The golden rule I can think of is the fact that you must follow your passion and do something that's close to your heart” these words are rightly reflected in the actions of the group.
My Struggles with Self Doubts
Being a good student academically, I was always expected to perform well throughout my student life and was thus laden with the responsibility of performing even in difficult circumstances. My failure to perform well in higher secondary boards was a big setback to me as well as to my near ones. It took a toll on me and affected the way I viewed my life goals. For a short time, my career path was ambiguous leading to an emotional turmoil. But a realization that this certainly was not the end of everything I had hoped and dreamed for made me stand up and give my best efforts for further hurdles that came my way. I am currently a student of IMT Ghaziabad, one of the reputed Business schools in the country. From where I stand today, I am extremely thankful for the failures I faced early in life because they shaped me as a person and made me strong enough to handle the weight of failures and rise again to fight back with all my might. Thus, I have learnt to trust the fighter within and this helps me in dealing with challenges to achieve my ambitions in life.
