It has more than 120,000 employees that belong to 42 nationalities. It’s one of the oldest Indian Business conglomerate in the world and earned a revenue of approximately US $44.3 billion in year 2018. The group has expanded its business over wide range of areas including cement, carbon black, fashion, telecom, textiles etc and is a market leader in many of them. Being such a huge conglomerate requires hard work and dedication from each employee but other than the sole purpose of earning profits, the company has immensely contributed to the society. The company has a vision of actively contributing to the social and economic development of the communities in which they operate. One such initiative is the Aditya Birla Centre for Community Initiatives and Rural Development in which 7.5 million people from over 5,000 villages are reached and helped according to their needs.

To start of Idea cellular is a brand of ABG and has now merged with Vodafone and has become the largest telecom company in terms of subscribers. Its quite evident how much mobile is used these days and the company provides us with hassle free connection to talk to our friends and family. Also, 4G data internet service which is being provided is immensely helpful especially for students.
Next, various fashion brands that come under the group like Louis Philippe, Allen Solly, Van Heusen, Peter England provided me enough opportunities to choose and wear the best quality apparels. Not only casual wear but also being an MBA student currently it helped me purchase various formal wear. All the apparels are in optimal price ranges.
Next, Ultratech cement is one the biggest companies that come under the group. It helped me construct my house and not only that it is used under various projects of the government and helps in nation building.
At last, not only in the product range but also the financial service that the group provides is quite helpful. My family and friends have taken life insurance policies and always recommend other people to do the same.

Challenges Overcome to achieve my Ambitions:
I have faced many challenges in my life but the most difficult one is the one which I have faced almost all my life everyday for past 23 years. I used to be an ectomorph (excessive skinny body type) since childhood. Because of it I was never able to play any outdoor activities as I used to be very conscious about my looks and body type. I was never selected in any sports teams because of the same reason. After few years when I was in standard 8th I realised that this is no way of living. I used to be very shy and timid because of the same reason. Though I was always a bright student but this thing always affected me throughout my school life.
But running away from your problems is never a solution and one must always try to face and overcome challenges. I decided to improve my health. For 2 years regularly I used to go to basketball court and in park to practice running and basketball. I gave myself various targets everyday to achieve. I took good care of my body and started eating healthy. Gradually I witnessed a change in my personality. When I was, I class 10th I gave trials for basketball team and was selected to represent my school. I was also a national level athlete in school and participated in 5000m under 19 at the age of 16 years. I was more confident and most importantly happy that I achieved what I wanted to.
No one’s life is perfect but we all can make efforts. Everyone has a story that can inspire others and this is mine.
