Aditya Birla’s “Big is for everyone” campaign does justice to the name of this humongous conglomerate that caters to the needs of every person or entity out there, be it in the manufacture of Infrastructural Capital goods, Fashion, Telecommunications or Financial services. Reaching to Indian’s through various avenues the ABG products are there in almost every household or probably what makes the very home the people live in.
Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail has been part of my household for a long time, a fact which was unknown to me. Peter England, Van Heusen, Louis Philippe are the only brands that form the formal side of the family closet. Never would I have imagined that such a varied range of brands and products were part of a single business group. My very first formal wear was from Allen Solly, a brand that I have grown to trust so much that it’s the only brand of formal wear that I wear. So I say ABG you have wooed me.

Difficulties are an integral part of life. An existence without difficulties will be excessively exhausting. Difficulties test your flexibility towards troublesome or obscure circumstances. They make you more astute and improve your capacities. The most significant thing is to move yourself to more noteworthy statures. Each test that you set for yourself should enable you to turn out to be better. Recently, the challenge that I faced was taking admission in a reputed business school. The challenge was two-fold: 1) Since I was working I had bare minimum time left at the end of the day to prepare for my entrance tests, and 2) I was on a certain backfoot compared to other aspirants due to bad academic scores. But I was determined to secure my future in a reputed school. I decided to give it my all during the weekends, but even that was impossible sometimes due to weekend work.
For this, I developed a time table so that I do not lag behind in any of the things. Also, there is a certain stigma surrounding the level of competition and the difficulty of entrance exams. To overcome this challenge, I decided to compare my current performance only with my past performance and not get bogged down by the score of others. In essence, I decided to compete with myself- I set targets for each mock so that I could improve every time. Also, I was determined to perform better than those aspirants who had work experience. Such planning helped me overcome my hurdles and finally helped me take admission into the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad.
