SPJIMR currently has 2 PGDM programmes that it offers to students at their Mumbai campus. Students from diverse profiles get into these programmes and build on successful careers there after. Let’s do a deep dive to understand the finer nuances of the programme and the students that get through.

With a total batch size of 300 students, SPJIMR has two PGDM programmes that run through these 300 students.
1. PGDM Programme
2. PGDM(BM) Programme

Out of these 300 students, 98% are of Indian nationality and the remaining 2% students have an international origin.

Having a diverse mix of freshers and work experience professionals, SPJIMR provides for the perfect breeding ground to launch diverse careers moving forward.

With increased participation of women across management colleges in India, SPJIMR is also striving for diversity, with 28% of their batch being women and the remaining being men. 76% out of these 300 students are Engineers and the remaining are Non-Engineers.

PGDM(BM) is a newly launched programme that has been introduced by SPJIMR in 2022 which is an extension of the existing flagship PGDM programme. SPJIMR was known to be the institution where students could select their field of specialisation from the 1st trimester itself. With the addition of the PGDM(BM) programme, applicants now have a wider choice apart from the 4 specialisations.

They provided for options amongst - Finance, Marketing, Operations and Information Management. With the PGDM(BM) programme, SPJIMR is focusing towards inclusion of general management and a general MBA from the 1st trimester itself.

The current PGDM(BM) batch has 60 seats. PGDM (BM) offers candidates flexibility to pursue General Management courses in depth with an option to choose a minor specialisation and electives of their interest. Both PGDM and PGDM(BM) programme offer an equal number of credits to the students.

Students of both the programmes will be allowed to participate in the autumn internship and final placement process, with same weightage provided to both the programmes.

PGDM and PGDM(BM) are the MBA programmes offered by SPJIMR. Both of these are two year programmes, and are currently being taught at the SPJIMR campus facility in Bombay. With a diverse faculty and a robust infrastructure at offer, the students of these two programmes, will have access to universal resources, both in terms of individuals and services, that the college has to offer.

There are 5 additional course components that SPJIMR has, which makes their B-School programme unique and adds a layer of all-round development.
  1. Abhyudaya - Abhyudaya is a unique educational innovation by SPJIMR, which aims to foster social responsibility among B-school students through practical learning. It helps in fostering student’s POV towards society and development & strives towards building a stronger character.
  1. ADMAP - ADMAP stresses on teaching the art of administration to business students in a fun, experiential way. It introduces the participant to ‘self-learning’ and ‘management of the self’ through the prism of ‘doing, observing, reflecting and recording’.
  1. Development of Corporate Citizenship - A programme aimed to sensitize students with cultures and cultural inclusion within the country.
  1. PG Lab - The PG Lab is a comprehensive programme that is crafted meticulously to appeal to the instincts and interests of our participants. It builds personal leadership and team skills through indoor and outdoor activities, psychometric tests and experiential exercises.
  1. Spirituality in Management - This course aims at making students more secular to various religions and also understand practices that help them remain more calm and peaceful and function better in the management sphere with some element of spirituality.

SPJIMR PGDM(BM) is a promising programme for students who want to pursue General Management and then select their specialisation after further learning through the course.

Open to both freshers and professionals with work experience, SPJIMR is a great business school that all MBA aspirants in the country should apply to.
