This year, IIM Raipur has witnessed a significant surge in the salaries offered to the batch, seeing double-digit percentage point increases in the average and median salary for the graduating batch. The institute also witnessed the highest offer coming in at INR 42.15 lakhs - one of the highest in the past five years as well as the institute's history. Leading companies across prominent industries hired from IIM Raipur this year, though the number of recruiters decreased as compared to last year. 252 MBA Students Receive 275 Offers | IIM Raipur Placements 2022
- In 2022, IIM Raipur students received a total of 275 offers, implying an offer to student ratio of 1.09.
- A total of 113 companies participated in the final placement process, down from over 140 last year.
- A total of 45 new recruiters participated in the placement process, down from over 60 last year.
- Top brands on campus included Accenture, Amazon, American Express, BlackRock, Deloitte, HSBC, IDFC First Bank, Mahindra Group, Microsoft, PwC, ZS Associates, and many others.
Average Salary Up By 17%, and Other Key Salary Highlights | IIM Raipur Placements 2022
- In 2022, the highest salary stood at INR 42.15 lakhs, up by a massive 40% over the previous year and the second-highest ever salary in five years.
- The average salary for the batch stood at INR 17.73 lakhs, up by an impressive 17% over the previous year.
- The median salary increased by nearly 15%, going to INR 16.95 lakhs from INR 14.80 lakhs.
- The average of the top-quarter of salaries stood at INR 24.00 lakhs, seeing a year-on-year increase of nearly 17%.
- The average of the top-half of salaries stood at INR 21.02 lakhs, increasing by 13% over the previous year.
Strategy and Consulting Roles Highest Paying, On Average | IIM Raipur Placements 2022
- Industry-wise, the top offer came from a company in the IT & ITES industry, and stood at INR 42.15 lakhs. Function-wise, this salary was for an Operations & IT role.
- The top offer from Strategy and Consulting - the most sought-after industry on campus - stood at INR 32.21 lakhs. With an average salary of INR 18.38 lakhs, companies in this industry also emerged as the best paymasters at IIM Raipur in 2022.
- Function-wise, on average, the top paying role was Operations & IT, offering an average salary of INR 18.65 lakhs. This was followed by the Analytics and Consulting function (INR 18.14 lakhs) and Sales and Marketing (INR 17.49 lakhs).
Analytics and Consulting Roles Most Preferred For MBA Students | IIM Raipur Placements 2022
- In 2022, the most preferred industry to work with was Strategy and Consulting, with 35% of the batch opting for roles for these companies. Preference for this industry grew by 25% as compared to last year, when the IT/ITES industry made-up 37% of all offers accepted by IIM Raipur students.
- The most preferred function for the graduating batch was Analytics and Consulting, with nearly half the batch (44%) opting for these roles. In comparison, Sales and Marketing, which attracted 34% of talent at IIM Raipur last year, made up 21% of all offers accepted this year.
