The Ministry of Education and the University Grants Commission have directed the National Testing Agency to oversee the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission to Postgraduate Programs in Central, State, and other participating Universities, Institutions, Organizations, and Autonomous Colleges. The CUET (PG) offers a unified platform for all Postgraduate students seeking admission to any of the Central Universities (CUs) or other participating organizations, including State Universities, Deemed to be Universities, and Private Universities nationwide.
In alignment with the aforementioned directive, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) will be considering CUET (PG)-2024 scores for admission to ALL its Postgraduate (Master’s Degree) Programs. This includes the following two programs as well:
- Master of Arts in Human Resource Management & Labour Relations
- Master of Arts in Organization Development, Change and Leadership

- Stage - I: This stage primarily focuses on the CUET PG-2024 score, which is the Common University Entrance Test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from March 11, 2024, to March 28, 2024. The CUET score holds 75% weightage in the TISS admission process, constituting the entire weightage for this stage.
- Stage - II: This stage involves Online Assessments (OA) which include Online Group Discussion and an Online Personal Interview (OPI) for HRM&LR and ODCL programs. These activities hold 25% weightage in the TISS admission process.
What is the Online Group Discussion and Online Personal Interview?
Online Personal Interview (OPI):
The panel will interact with candidates to assess their motivation, interests, level of preparation, and foundational knowledge acquired during their undergraduate studies. Additionally, the OPI will delve into candidates' comprehension of societal and economic influences. It should be emphasized that these are indicative areas of exploration during the OPI.
Online Group Discussion/Case Discussion (OGD/OCD):
For PG programs like the Master of Arts in Human Resources Management and Labour Relations (HRM&LR), and the Master of Arts in Organisation Development, Change, and Leadership (ODCL), an Online Group Discussion and OPI will be conducted.
