PART A
The Aditya Birla Group (ABG) started off as a Jute manufacturing company back in 1919. Post independence, it had ventured into multiple domains exerting its dominance over ground and air. It is nearly impossible for an individual in India, not to have had an impact in his/her life from any of the ABG products or services. It can be a tricky question if somebody asks me which product/service of ABG do you think has impacted you the most. But I can mention some of the products that influenced me or my family directly.
My father built our first home in 1997. In our culture back then, the most important milestone in an individuals life is when he is able to build his own home. As a result, he did not want to compromise in the quality of any building materials or products. Cement being the major ingredient in construction, and hence the quality of the same is important. Despite from the suggestion of the contractor to use an alternative cement, my father strongly suggested him to use Ultra Tech cement, due to the trust and reliability he has on the ABG brand. As expected, the Ultra Tech cement still has not failed us or any others to whom we suggested based on our fruitful experience with the product. It has been 20 years since our house has been constructed, and so far we had spent very little amount on renovation purposes.
Another product of ABG that influenced my life is Peter England clothing. I am a person who would like to experience new things in my life. I am concerned about the dress I wear so I trust a brand only if it proves too good to me to stick upon. I am extremely proud to say that Peter England is one of the very few brands that has provided me with quality and aesthetic products. Since 2011, I am a huge fan as well as a regular customer of Peter England (PE). In my opinion, for the formal wear and polo T shirt categories, there isn't much brands that can compete with PE in India. I still own most of the shirts that I have purchased from PE, and is still undamaged. This is indeed a very fruitful customer experience for me.
Likewise, there are even more products that have come into my life from ABG. If I am to write every single of them, i do not think it is feasible for someone to read my whole experience. So, overall, ABG does impact most individuals life in India directly or indirectly.

My life is a saga of ups and downs just like everyone around. I was born in an upper middle class family. My parents were able to provide me with education from prime schools, and they were strict about my academics. Under their supervision as well as my efforts, I did my schooling well, scored good marks in 10th and 12th. However, once when i joined my college (NIT Calicut), my life was unsupervised, again just like any other individual of that age. I started experiencing freedom like I never had in my life. This sudden exposure though gave me a lot of fruitful perspectives about life, I eventually started to deviate from my study routine. I started the explore the world around me. I focused more on coordinating cultural activities and other events for various clubs in college. I did not find enough time to deal with my academics. Eventually my grades fell down, I started getting back papers, and I was not eligible to sit for the final placements of my college.
It was once i passed out of my college, I realized that I should figure out what I want to do with my life, and how i should prioritize my things. I listed down my talents, and I looked for careers that I would be happy to pursue. Management was my top priority, and hence I thought being an engineering graduate, I should be aware of what management is in corporate world before I make a final decision. I found a job in a startup firm where I did company operations. I was satisfied with my job, but I wanted to experience, the other verticals of management as well. hence I resigned and found a job in another company, where I did sales and marketing. I became organized in my life, I had a goal, and I was quite sure that I will be able to achieve it by then. I started performing well in my job, and received a lot of appreciation from my peers and managers.
Right now I have a wide vision about my future, and I know exactly what I want to do with my life. I believe that overcoming the confusion and fear in my mind, and achieving the right maturity is the biggest achievement in my life.
