NMIMS School of Business Management Campus was established in 1981 in the heart of Mumbai. Built in one of the most prime locations, the campus is an important Centre of education and excellence through industry interactions and student interfaces that gives a student a competitive edge over the others.
When we list down top B schools in our country, School of Business Management SVKM’s NMIMS is always present. If we compare the top B schools, we will find NMIMS to stand out. It is probably the only full time non-residential MBA program which is at par with residential MBA programs from rest of the B schools. The campus of NMIMS is indeed unique. A single multi-storeyed building is competing against colleges spread across many acres of land. One of the reason behind this is that it is situated in Mumbai, the financial hub and nerve centre of the country. The campus is situated in the heart of Mumbai. Students usually opt to stay nearby the campus. Almost everything is available to students at a walking distance.
Studying in a top b-school was my dream from the past 4 years. I used to feel bad that I missed studying for my Graduation from a coveted b-school. From past 3 years, I was having a go at the entrance exams with little or no preparation because of work-hours of almost 12 hours at Aricent Technologies. I moved out of Aricent Technologies just to get 3-4 hours leisure time per day and the weekend just for preparation. The continuous effort of 4 hours at least per day has landed me into my dream of being In an elite b-school.
Though all the days spent in this college were intriguing in their own ways, the one which was the most peculiar was my first day in college. The day I got my offer letter from NMIMS Mumbai, I got very complacent regarding my future because the mindset which I’d developed during the time I was preparing for MBA was that if I manage to get into a premier b-school then henceforth everything will be a cakewalk.
“What is Time?” asked the Prof. Dinesh Panchal in his first class of Statistics.
