Like many other IIM participants I expected to do summer internship in a big company which will give me a stamp of big brand. Like others I also wanted to leverage my internship company’s reputation during final placement. But few got everything whatever they want. So yes I did not get a chance to do internship in any multinational or for that matter any big brand company. Rather I did my internship in a start-up working on digital marketing. I did not have any expectation prior to joining but whatever I learnt and experienced during those 2 months were noteworthy and much above than my expectation. It helped me to find a new interest area where I really want to start my career. So I wanted to share my extremely enjoyable and lovable journey and this write up is an entry for the Summer Saga 2014 Contest.

Dr. Gregory House. That was my aim for as long as I remember- from his brilliance to his smirks- I was enamored and infatuated! I was determined to be a doctor with the panache of Dr. House and the humanity of Dr. Wilson. My path was set… Until, I decided to do an MBA to gain insights to revolutionize the Indian health system. And stepping into Stryker office on the 1st day of internship, I felt as bewildered and as intimidated as Mike Ross (Suits) felt on his first day at Pearson Hardman!!!

IIM Ranchi Celebrates its 5th Foundation Day
On 6th July 2014, Indian Institute of Management Ranchi celebrated its 5th foundation day. The gala event was held in the Khelgaon auditorium Ranchi with many dignitaries attending the event. Professor Anup Kumar Sinha of IIM Calcutta graced the occasion as the chief guest. Professor Binay Bhushan Chakrabarti - Director IIM Ranchi and Professor Amarendu Nandy were the guests of honour. The Program started with a prayer song devoted to Lord Ganesha sung by the second year students. The best academic performers of 2013 were felicitated and were awarded Merit Certificates.

The TAS Story - Entry for Summer Saga 2014
That first corporate booked air journey from the city of Nawabs to the city of dreams, that sea-facing suite at The Taj Lands End, and that too immediately after a weeklong gruelling end terms at IIM Lucknow! It was the perfect start to the much awaited summer internship at the most revered group of the country, the Tata. TAS indeed had a lot more to offer than I expected.
