Every year we celebrate Teachers’ Day with the greatest enthusiasm and this year was no different.
The summers of 2016 saw the largest batch ever at IIFT placed in the shortest time span. Overall 88 companies participated in the Summer Placement season and the average stipend saw a rise of nearly 15% with highest stipend on offer being 2,50,000 INR for the entire internship duration. This year’s summers also saw good participation of companies rolling out 14 international offers across locations such as Geneva, Paris, Dubai, Latin America, China, Nepal, Africa.
In this competitive world, organisations are putting in best efforts to understand business and implement vital decisions that will drive their business forward. The question to ponder over is - How reliable any decision is? Is it a foolproof decision? Will the decision improve the status of the organisation? A quote by William Edwards Deming says “In God we trust, all others must bring data”.

There has been a growing clamour for more women in top managerial positions in Indian companies over the last few years. From a time just about 5 years back in 2011 when none of the top IIMs had even 20% women candidates, a lot of progress has been made. We may see things changing in the corporate board rooms in India in a few years. It is now common to see over 1/3rd women in many top business schools in India. We at InsideIIM only see this figure going up across schools in the coming years. It has become an important criteria to attract recruiters to one's business school as well.
Every day, by the time I reach the office, a hum of industry has settled over the building. Heads are bent, fingers are flying at a frantic pace, the air reverberates with conversations and laughter. I am working in the Research and Development office (better known as ‘Technology’ here in Marico), and am assailed with nerdy jokes and solvent smells all day.
SCMHRD has yet again put together a phenomenal Summer Placement Season and continued its strong legacy as the youngest premier business school to be ranked amongst the Top 20 in the country.
