My story takes me back to 2006, Kerala. Though I was born in Delhi, grew up there and my family made its fortune there, Kerala has always been home. So much so that we decided to build our first house, not in Delhi, but in Trivandrum. We saved for almost 10 years- being frugal in our behaviour and spending less, keeping aside more and finally we had enough to manifest our ambition. They say when it comes to your dreams, money is no object.
However, for us, it definitely was. So when considering the materials to build with and the loans to take, research we did was extensive. What we couldn't extend in money, we extended in effort. Spent hours on finding the best of the best. We scoured newspapers, the internet, interrogated friends and family, spoke to experts and we drew up a list.
What still strikes me as amazing it that, in all our research, Aditya Birla Group Limited came up not once, not twice, but multiple times, across multiple aspects.
We still own a house build on UltraTech Cement. While there were cheaper options, when it came to our place of living, we were not willing to compromise on quality. We wanted an assurance of safety and longevity. We paid back the loan taken from Aditya Birla Finance with multiple restructuring of the loan during the period of construction with full support from the company.
ABGL isn't just a big part of my life- it's in the very foundation of our home.
