It was my last exam in 12th standard on April 2, 2011. It was the cricket world cup final too. We classmates decided to watch it in school auditorium. I had to gather snacks and deliver them on my way to the exam centre. When I reached the centre and looked for the admit card I was shocked. Alas, I had dropped it somewhere.
Half an hour was left before the exam. I started asking for a phone. The place had utterly bad cell reception. People told me only Bsnl and Idea work here. I found a Bsnl user but with insufficient balance. Somebody told there is an Idea customer centre nearby. I reached and explained the situation to the officer-in-charge. He asked me to relax as I had an exam. He asked my admit card details and made the calls. Fortunately, the shop where I had dropped my admit card was nearby. He himself went there and fetched it back. He wished me luck and asked me to concentrate.
After exam completion I went to thank him, he replied that anyone who walks in this office is an asset for Idea, we are working for helping people in whatever way it is needed and that it why we have support centres to the whole country. I was moved by those words and to this day I've an Idea number.
Had it not been ABG's core values instilled in their deep roots I would've lost a complete year.
