IIM Shillong is really unique in its own sense. Campus is surrounded by beautiful mountains and inside the campus is where 180 minds work. The sense of close belonging with the batchmates helps us in peer-learning about the different courses and this learning is not limited to courses but it extends way beyond text-books. IIM Shillong helps is holistic development of the person. Rigorous studies, Team-work, and extra-curricular activities together helps in shaping the personality of a person. These 2 years in IIM Shillong certainly helps in shaping us to be ready for a better future.

The memorable experience in class which I can remember is definitely a class where we were given a chance to open up in front of others. The class by one of our faculty members on communication gave us a platform to speak about oneself. The exercise gave me a boost to overcome my stage-freight and necessary confidence to speak among the audience. Fear of public speaking has always been my weak point and this class helped to overcome that. Moreover, it helped to connect with other batchmates and know many things about them.

Few of my batchmates:

Shubham Singh – The good orator, singer and person with a high level of intellect (greater than his age). The Engineer from Chandigarh University with zero work experience but with lot of experiences

Anjal Agarwal – Everything (CA, CFA, CS). His achievements are more than his age. The person with dedication to do things and unquestionable commitments

Bhushan Bhaviskar – The IIT B graduate, financial trader and a brilliant athlete. He is known for his sharp mind and composed attitude in the time of calamity

Priyavrat Sharma - The good orator, singer and person with a high level of experience. The Engineer from Himachal Pradesh with experiences in different facets of life

Aditya Birla Company

Aditya Birla Chemical Limited would be my first choice to work at. For the last 6 years, I have spent learning and working in the Chemical Industry. Being a Chemical Engineering graduate who has passionately worked in a Chemical Industry, I personally want to grow as a professional in this sector of Industry. Having left the job with an aim to further enhance the knowledge base of different business domains in an organization, I always aspire to go back and apply the knowledge base. Aditya Birla Chemicals being a leader in multiple chemical businesses will certainly be ideal for learning and growth and become a leader in this sector of the industry.
