Exactly how powerful are thoughts? The average human being has over a hundred thousand different or interconnected thoughts in a day. Everyday, these thoughts flit through our minds , most of which we forget or ignore.
What were the chances then, that a thought, that once germinated in the mind of a man in 1857 would still be relevant today ?
There are thoughts that come and go, and then there are ideas. One of these ideas was that of Shiv Narayan Birla , the founder of the Birla Group.
It was an idea that would revolutionize India , and, in effect, the world. Today, the Aditya Birla group permeates every small bit of the average Indian's life. A man never imagines that the clothes on his back could be related to cement in his house. Or that the food he eats be fertilized by the same organisation that creates metals he uses daily. And yet this thread binds us all together, invisible but strong and reliable all the same. From carbon black , used in various ways across different industries, to, telecom, joining several people, ABG continues to make a silent contribution in all we do.
Today, ABG continues to be silent guardian holding up the framework of the whole Indian society under the able guardianship of the visionary and leader Kumar Mangalam Birla. The chairman continues to carry forward the legacy of his father, Aditya Birla. ABG employs hundreds of people, all of whom work hard and uncomplainingly .
India, infact would have never been "India", never been independent, if it wasn't for the Birlas. She would just be a colony of the British Empire.
She is lucky to have given birth to such people who make her proud in the international stage as well as bring prosperity to her own soil.
