Part A

Aditya Birla group is one of India’s largest conglomerate serving Indian customers in various segments from Industry to daily needs with wide array of products. Its product becomes an integral part of our life.  Their brands become the symbol of trust. From Telecom giant IDEA and the most famous cement brand Ultratech to the iconic fashion brands, the group has made his place in Indian people’s mind. However, ABG is not only about making money but it also adheres itself towards sustainable development of the weaker sections of society and up heaving the country’s human development index. Aditya Birla Group has so many brands in various segments, but the one brand because of which I remember the name of Aditya Birla Group is the ULTRATECH CEMENT. From childhood I’ve been to various cement dealers as my father is working in the same sector and known about many cement brands. But I still membered the famous yellow Ultratech cap keychain given by one of the dealers. Because of that keychain I remembered the ABG for a long time. During my civil engineering, whenever I visited a site and seeing the UltraTech bag bring bag the nostalgic memories. Another brand I remembered the Aditya Birla Group is the Peter England. I bought my first formals pair from Peter England. My family is frequent buyers of fashion brands such as Luis Phillipe, Peter England and Allen Solley and Pantaloons. Pantaloons becomes a favourite place in my family to shop for casual clothes. From wearing suits of Van Heusen, clothes from Pantaloons to the IDEA cellular Aditya Birla Group becomes a big part of my life.

Part B

It all started with a dream to become a successful person. It was a roller coaster ride. I was not a brilliant student. Being an average student, I didn’t do much apart from studying. The setback came during my engineering. I was not a topper of my class but I always managed to have a good mark in my all examination. During the graduation I got a backlog in the last year. I also appeared for MBA entrance exams at that time and got shortlisted for some interviews also. But the backlog had a huge impact on my interview preparation. I was not able to give by best and had not converted any of the calls I got. Then the phase came when I started regaining my confidence. I cleared the backlog in the next semester. I reappeared for the entrance exams again. This time I gathered the needed confidence to crack for best B-school admissions. I had a very average profile but still I able to pull out the best of me during Interviews and cracked some of the prestigious B schools in India and here I am writing about the story of how I overcome the failure and succeeded in my ambition of to be a part of prestigious B-school. I learnt that It is not the failure that gets you down but what you interpret of that. Learning from failures is more important than worry about it doing nothing. The journey goes on and the dreams too.
